This place was recommended and does not disappoint. The dim sum was fresh and the broth of the noodle soup was tasty. What else can one ask for? Will go back any time.

This restaurant is ok but they are nothing special, They are expensive and the taste and quality of the food they are selling are not in that value. It's not bad, it's just not that good.

I came here expecting to eat good food but i was very much disappointed. Serving size is small, food ain't that great. Seafoods are suppose to be their specialty but Lapu Lapu and Sea Mantis are cooked poorly and for a small restaurant to have service so bad. This restaurant is absolutely overated.

We ate at Luy's and had a great meal. I had the crab which was really good. Everyone else had seafood and really enjoyed it. The service was great. Overall a really excellent dining experience in Cebu City outside the SM Mall.

My friends invited me for lunch at Luy's. If I remember correctly, we had Luy's fried rice, beef tenderloin with mango, fried shrimp with salted egg, siomai, hakaw and xiao long bao.

The rice was good and tasty. It had the right amount of saltiness that goes well with all the other viands. I think they use fresh shrimp because both the fried shrimp and hakaw were exceptionally good. The siomai was also good. It wasn't made up of extenders but real meat and shrimp. The beef tenderloin was okay but that's with some bias since I'm generally not a fan of sweet dishes. The only disappointment was the xiao long bao. It wasn't that good. The dumpling was a bit too thick but for some reason doesn't manage to hold all the soup in. The meat and soup inside wasn't also memorable. I guess it's best to stick to restaurants with xiao long baos as their specialty.

Xiao long bao aside, eating at Luy's was a very good experience. It also helps that the food was quite affordable and it was definitely value for money. I'll surely come back the next time I visit Cebu.
