Reading the reviews, I wonder if I stayed at the same place as many of the other reviewers. Service was excellent and friendly and very helpful throughout my entire stay. Room was very clean, the TV had a remote, but I would agree that the yellow walls were drab (and also my least favorite color). Beds were comfortable too (something that can't be said of all hotels in Cebu). It's also close to Robinson Mall but you're better off taking a cab to Ayala or SM, which are both further away.
However, I found the complimentary breakfast food to be at room temperature (not good when you're eating eggs) and room service food (although hot) wasn't very good. There's a Jollibee's down the street that we should have walked to. Also, I was advised that it wasn't safe to walk the streets there after dark due to drugs and street crime. And if you're going to drink wine, bring some bottles with you.
