Since I usually go out during the day, I only require that my accommodation is clean and comfortable. Accessibility is a plus. Vacation Hotel is both. It's 2 storey-building that is not fancy but clean. Receptionists were accommodating and attentive as were those in the cafeteria. It is quite accessible to the main roads so getting around the city is a breeze. Taxis can easily be flagged down.
The redemptorist church is about 15 min. walk from the hotel. A hospital is a block away in case of emergency.
Their beds were firm yet cozy. I love pillows so I was glad they had 2 per bed.
It's not a 3 star hotel so they only provide the basics for the bath... towels, hand soap (do not use for face please) and toilet paper. No complimentary water too.
Aircons are kinda old so don't expect a lot of air-swing action.
There's free toast and coffee/juice for breakfast included for the stay. But you can order additional food at their cafeteria.
There's a small pool and some huta at thw back for relaxing.
I spent 4 comfortable nights here and I would recommend it for people with no frill requirements.

- Very noisy surrounding. I got waken up at 6-7am by hawkers outside.
- Room a bit dirty. The bed sheet was sticky on the first day arrived
- Not a convenient location, and I felt slightly dangerous around.... being very dark at night. There were kids begging for money by surrounding you (well it happened to me anyway...)

Pros: it's budget.

If you are a guy, it's ok to choose this hotel. Otherwise, .....

Room Tip: If you insist to choose this hotel, please DO NOT choose the rooms located at ground floor....

hot water is not working.. and when it does, the shower almost didnt give out water.. id like a hot water after a day of tour and walking around..
some hotels doesnt charge for room service, just the cost of the food.. and for a 2floor hotel, its disappointing that they charge for bringing the food at our room.
staff was friendly though and room was clean.. just change the bed because it's hard.

if you want a low hotel (only 2 floors) which fits your budget, this can be one of your options. We stayed here last night because of the recent earthquake and we wanted to sleep somewhere with few floors. On the outside, it looks old. On the inside, it's not as old as I initially expected although it's not exactly brand new or recently renovated either. Few cracks on the wall but generally clean. Staff is accommodating including the guards. What makes this budget hotel unique is they have a pool which very few budget hotels have. They also serve simple breakfast composed of coffee/juice and toast with butter or jam..Location however is a bit inconvenient. You have to drive or walk a bit further to go to more shops/restos

Room Tip: have someone check the TV if you hear fuzzy noises...communicate with the guard in advance to arrange for better parking space if you bring a car...

Great place to stay at such an affordable price. What makes a hotel a great place to stay are the nice and friendly staff, the amenities, and the rooms it has to offer.
They definitely have a nice and friendly staff. The moment you come in you feel welcome instantly. They let you feel like you're home away from home.
For such a small hotel, they have amenities of a luxury 5 star hotel; flat screen TV's, AIR conditioned rooms, tiled floorings (no carpeting), pool, cabanas, fitness center, etc....
Of all the five hotels I inquired about, this is the only one that offered two queen beds for their matrimonial sweet. The other hotels including the luxury ones only offered, for a family of four, a queen bed and a double. Really???
With those three reasons I can really say that I can recommend this hotel to other people who are looking for a good place to stay in Cebu.

Room Tip: Rooms to the South facing the pool are quieter.
