I had been at La Scala di Cebu about a year ago and found it a worthwhile Italian restaurant, though the selection of true Italian dishes was a bit limited :-), So I thought I'd go back there.
No more Italian restaurant as it now has become a Korean owned Seafood restaurant. The food was good, Service friendly and the prices very reasonable.
Most of all though it is a relaxed place, with a nice view over the ocean.
The only 'con' if I may say so is that it is a bit out of the way if you stay in Cebu city, as the restaurant is on Mactan island. In fact, it is on the grounds of the Hadsan cove resort.
If you go there make sure you tell the frontgate that you are going to the restaurant, otherwise they may charge you the entrance fee for the resort (which is not that high either).
As Trivia: Apparently there is also a language school attached to di Scala, which I believe is owned by the former owner of di Scala that combines learning English, staying in the resort and eating at La Scala. For those interested: Better check first if the school is still in operation. Seemed they got in trouble for not being accredited.
Summarizing. La Scala Seafood is definitely worthwhile to visit. Food is good (but not FANTASTIC), but the atmosphere is definitely worthwhile. Nice for a relaxed dinner.
