One of my Favorite places to go vacation! I love this place and we always go back to Plantation bay and Shangri-La everytime we are in the P.I. Its is an amazing place to relax and have a great time. There are many pools...from salt water to fresh water that even have water slide big and small. You can even get a room with your own pool if you like!

The resort is a very beautiful setting. The room is very beautiful also but there are some problems with this resort. Out of the ten days we stayed there 4 days we did not receive service. One day they came at 530pm we had been gone all day and was tired we just took towels. The water at the resort is not potable so you must rely on there bottled water. Many days we were not given enough to handle our needs. Hot water was not always available either. We did enjoy our stay all in all it is very beautiful. Staff was friendly and very accomodating. This is a place to go if your looking to relax. We spent most of our days out sightseeing. Great for couples looking to lounge at the many pools or lagoons.

The resort is one of the best that I've stayed. Totally relaxing athmosphere...i like the way the two story bungalows were built around around the lagoon of sea water. If you love water, this is the "place". My bungalow is just right at the edge of the pool - very nice. I prefer this kind of accomodation than a 10 story building hotel. I's very casual, I can go to the pool without going through an elevator , the front desk and a considerable walk. Service by the management esp. front desk reservation is just outstanding. We had a problem with the first bungalow that was assigned to us, although it's clean, it was just simply too small for us and so they gave us much better place...they're very accomodating. All the staff were all very friendly and with a smile, even to include the gardeners. The food was great! We had breakfasts at the main restaurant situated in the middle of the resort. They had different breakfast menus everyday during our 3 day/nite stay. It's almost a perfect stay if only they have a designated smoking area for smokers in the main restaurant. Smoking in restaurants here in the US is now prohibited and I hope that they implement that in Plantation Bay. As a non-smoker, I certainly would not dine close to smoking customers while eating.

Went here to relax for a week and did just that. At the begining of our stay there were problems with the water in the lagoon which meant it had to be drained but the duty manager kept us informed of this and offered us a alternative room.

There is no tipping allowed but all the staff seemd so happy at their work and really couldn't do enough for us - they were all exceptional!

Plenty of things to do including the spa, beach for snorkelling, the pitch and putt, climbing wall, gym, games room, themed buffet nights.

I hope to go back!

The vast pool area is great for kids and adults but the whole resort is scattered with plastic rocks... it's such a let down, if only they'd been a bit more authentic.

It's a very relaxing resort, great for kids, although not on a par with other 5-star hotels. The restaurants are over priced as the food could be better.

Accommodation varies, check carefully which room you are in. Ours was great, nice decor overlooking the main lagoon, great decking outside. Others in my family were at another location where the pool was dirty and the rooms were gruby and smelled of smoke.

We stayed here for 2 nites.First nite we had a waters edge room which was $12000 pesos total but fantastic ...until they started draining the water at 5pm for the bi-weekly cleaning so a bit dissapointed as this was the whole reason we booked the waters edge room.Make sure that it has been recently cleaned as I went in the water just before they started draining it and got itchy and broke out in hives briefly.Water /bottom starts to turn green from algea, much nicer cleaned(blue color).Second nite we had to stay in a Lagoon View room(not much of a view) lagoon kind of stunk..Meals were all just ok.Drinks are more(150 pesos for a beer) at the swim up bar..but what the hec!Firing Range was awesome($6500 pesos for 14 rounds of handgun,7 rounds shotgun and 30 rounds of machine gun(highly recommend)

Rock waterfalls, features are all fake black rock...and they really look fake like styrofoam
Wireless didnt work in Lagoon View room so I had to walk a little way to Lobby

Total for 2 nites stay all in for food, drinks, firing range was about $45,000 pesos so be prepared..If you want to relax, have great service and pay alot..this is the place
