Absolutely beautiful mountain and forest. We hiked to the summit and back in a long 12hr day! The trail is tough and slippery, and the summit was typically windy and icy cold. Luckily we had wonderful views when the clouds opened up briefly. Incredibly well run by DENR in Bacolod.

I wish we had known that it is possible (contrary to what our guidebook had said) to hike to the top in one day, overnight with everything carried by porters, and then hike back down the next day. Our book had said it took three days. So, we opted for the shorter half-day tour to a waterfall. Then back to several others close to the village where we started. The hike was strenuous and we did swim in the cold waters of the falls. But, we might have opted to go to the top had we known.
