Le Chalet of L 'Fisher is the less expensive wing of the hotel. The rooms are generously sized. It had a bar ref with nothing in it. We booked originally a budget room with a double bed which was priced at P1,500/day. When I asked for 2 singles, it was considered an upgrade with a higher rate of P1,900/day. The air-conditioning was sufficient. The beds badly needed replacement as the springs have given way. I stayed here 2 years ago and did not have any complaints unlike this time. It was so soft that when you turn over, you almost spill out of your bed. They provide you with a urethane foam pillow which was much too hard. Proper fiber fill pillows would be much appreciated. When requesting for an extra pillow, they charged P50 for each one. For a room for 2 persons, they only provide 1 small bottle of drinking water. If you want more, they will again charge you extra. Yup, extra charges every step of the way.

The bed linens were quite good. Though the room was comfortable and clean, the sleep quality was poor because of bad condition of mattresses and pillow.

The room also comes with an electric kettle with nothing around to use it for. I found out upon checking out that we had to ask from housekeeping for coffee or tea. There was no sign to indicate any of that. We did not bother to ask earlier as they seemed to charge you for every added amenity.

Their reading light is also totally insufficient. It is almost impossible to read properly with their fixture. Also the convenience outlets are totally insufficient. Since they provide a TV, DVD player, Ref and a reading table/desk lamp there isn't enough for all of them. You have to unplug one to use the other. As it is, the table lamp is unplugged as you check-in. Considering this hotel is not as old as the original L 'Fisher, they did not take devices into consideration. You have to shuffle around the plugs. Though you have just another option under the night table, but this is not practical for lap tops.

Bathroom was comfortable and also generous. Again for the age of the hotel, I wondered why they did not use 1.6gal water closets rather the outdated 3 gallon tanks. They speak of conserving water by not having towels washed daily but totally miss out on a very important point, the economical water closets.

One thing that went well was that their wifi was working well and reasonably fast. I usually have a hard time connecting in other local hotels.

Breakfast was fair. No coffee refills for free. That comes with an added cost but that is fine. Their brewed coffee was actually quite good.

As a whole, it wasn't bad. I would still stay here because the location is very good. This hotel was definitely furnished with economy in mind.

We booked this hotel for an overnight trip to Bacolod upon the recommendation of a friend who lived in the City. We were assigned to a room in the old wing. Although there were signs of rennovations in the room, it still felt old & lacking. The bathroom fixtures were old & dirty, there was no bath tub & no hairdryer. Standard room ammenities such as personal refrigerator, free coffee, toiletries were readily available. The breakfast buffet that was included in the overnight stay was just ok. (Priced at Php269/pax) The only redeeming factor was the location of the hotel. It was centrally located along Lacson St. Calea a known local dessert & coffee place is just accross the street. L'Fisher Chalet the new hotel, located behind L'Fisher Hotel looked more promising. (Cheaper rooms too!)

L Fisher in Bacolod City is conveniently located along Lacson Street which is the main boulevard in Bacolod. It consists of an old wing with big rooms and a new wing with a lovely pool and spa on the top floor. On my last trip, I stayed at the new wing and it wasn't as cramped as I expected. Quite comfortable and beddings were a lot newer than those in the old wing. Enjoyed the spa which was conveniently located at the top of the building. Even had time to make use of their gym . Breakfast was at the top of the hotel overlooking the swimming pool. All in all, L Fisher is not too pricey and has good value. Didn't try the food in the outlets except for breakfast so can't really say much about it.

Room Tip: Old wing rooms tend to be big but they are old and musty. Though they've started renovating the...

This is the most overpriced hotel in Bacolod. Their staff dont even smile when they see you. Their buffet is pathetic. Is this the best bacolod has to offer? They need to upgrade their tvs and elevator. Get it together lfisher. Cant wait for the Marriot to open here in Bacolod.

Horrible hotel is an understatement, the staff was so incompetent! Here is a list of things that went wrong during our stay:
1) The hotel didn't recognize in their system that we booked 2 nights (albeit separately) via Agoda. They were proposing that we check out after the first night and move to a different room even if the bookings were made under the same name for 2 consecutive dates!
2) The hotel sent a shuttle to pick us up at the airport even if we had our own private transportation arrangement, then insisted to charge us for this service which we did not book!
3) The wi-fi/internet connection is the slowest we've ever experienced in any hotel! Seemed like it was a dial-up service, worse if you moved your position slightly you would lose the connection.
4) The air-conditioning in the room was not functioning properly, it got very warm at times despite the thermostat being set to the coldest level. This is probably because the AC unit was old and dirty.
5) The room furnishings were quite old and mismatched, it even had a box type television set which should be obsolete by now!
6) The shower head and faucet inside the shower turned on at the same time since the switch valve between the two was not working - such a waste of water! While you're showering, the faucet at the bottom would be running as well.
7) The carpeting in the room was dirty, old, shabby, stuffy & smelly!
8) The lobby was unimpressive, the couches/sofas were dirty and smelled quite bad!
9) The hotel initially didn't allow complimentary late checkout even for an extra 2 hours, which is usually offered as a standard by other hotels. They were charging us 50% of the published room rate even if the same front office staff confirmed that we can check out at 2PM instead of 12NN.
10) The hotel only has 1 elevator (!) which is quite old and can be considered a hazard since it closes upon anyone who enters after just 1 second of being open if you don't press on the hold button right away.

Room Tip: Don't stay at the main hotel, book a room at the Chalet instead since it's newer and cleaner...

We had our seminar in this hotel during college years. and we really enjoyed the event for 5 days. the personnel in the hotel are really approachable. The roof top is really a good place for chilling and viewing Bacolod City.

Arrived late yesterday and were a walk in booking to this recommended hotel. Reception, security and all staff very helpful. The hotel was though to coin a DJ phrase ' here's one back to the seventies. We had a super deluxe room which was frankly anything but. The room needed airing and in th corridor we had to walk passed stacks of put you up spare beds and mattresses. Yes tv and sat tv were sometimes available, low end toiletries, one towel, a toilet tha sang filling up for two hours and most of room lights not working. At 50 Gbp a night, what did we expect? But restaurant food was good and staff redeeming for he hotels features. Well located on one of bacolods main streets, and a few hundred metres from a coffee shop.

Room Tip: There are no balconies and ac is from single in room noisy machine
