good during the oysters festival, otherwise quite expensive. And the taste was just ok, i can't say delicious. No entertainment for children. But quite romantic.

Good but pricey, pricey but good. The location is very convenient: 5 minutes walk from Pushkinskaya / Tverskaya underground station in the city center (200 m off Tverskaya street). The place looks trendy, is quite calm and atmosphere relaxing. Music plays a little but louder than in European restaurants but not irritating. The choice of fresh fish and seafood is vast. A dozen of oysters for ca.$30 came as a good surprise as we were prepared to pay $8 ea based on their menu. Unlike as described in the previous review, the service was excellent: both staff members servicing us were sincerely friendly and responsive. Furthermore, the waiter's suggestion of wine to accompany our meal was just perfect based on the price range we indicated and our oral description of what we want from the wine. As an extremity to the complaisance the men manifested was that they were noticeably persistent in offering food and drinks ("another water please" - "two or three bottles?") and they refilled our glasses with wine quite quickly - naturally for us to re-order. But never mind - this is typical of Russian service and at Rybnyi Bazar they do it in a decent manner. Another comment would be that as opposed to the same previous review the place is not cheap even for Moscow: average bill is RUR 4-5K per person (ca. EUR100-130 for a 3 course meal without wine). The food was fresh, very tasty and nicely served. But the way they cooked fish for us was not exceptional I must say (we ordered fish under Mediterranean sauce) - maybe I am too demanding as am used to good coocking. Anyway it was good as it is difficult to spoil fresh fish. On the bad side was that the kitchen was overloaded with orders and we had to wait longer than we were prepared to: the place was crowded - it was a Saturday night. Ah, there is no non smoking area on the 1st floor - we had to air our clothes the next day. On the good side was that we recieved a vaucher worth ca. 18% of the bill valid for 1 month: so I'll have to come back again which I will certainly do with pleasure.

The place is located 2 mins by foot from Tverskaya street, on a cross of two small lanes. 1st floor, on the ground - one more small restaurant with much lower price level.

Food is more or less ok for Moscow. Scallops could be a signature dish here, however they can't maintain the same high quality level every time.

The place is really great for their seasonal oyster sales. Cheap for Moscow, fresh for Moscow. If there's a sale, just come for oysters as yo come to an oyster bar in London.

One big problem of the place is service: taking oysters only during the season, or making a normal order - staff is looking on you as on their personal enemy.
