Comfortable rooms, good service, delicious breakfasts. One small minus - a little bit far from metro station. I enjoyed staying there during my business trip. But for my personal staying I would choose less expensive hotel.

Room tip: always choose non-smoking rooms

After moving from Ritz i moved to Renaissance Hotel and was pleasantly surprised with the service offered there. Hotel is quite new and rooms are ok, they also have a huge fitness club. The pool is ok, but nothing special. They have quite a few restaurants in the complex, but my choice would be Porto Maltese (one of the best restaurants if you want to eat descent fish in Moscow) which is not in the hotel complex but you enter it from the left side of the complex. The only drawback for the hotel is that it is positioned on the 3rd circle (and Leningradsky avenue) which means that you have to use transport to get to the city centre and on working days you will spend some time in traffic jams when returning back to hotel.

Room tip: I prefer on the higher floors, so you have a better view and less noise from the traffic

I stayed here 3 times already! Dec.2010, Jun2011 and Nov.2011!
The Front office staffs are excellent, very helpful. Has a very good gym equipment and a nice swimming pool, didn't use them though, but will be nice for relaxing.
Buffet breakfast is very good, so many choices and very good service.
The free wifi only in the lobby but it's good enough. Check out the bar beside the front office!
Definitely will come back here, if I get my visa next January 2013!

Location, you need to walk about 10to 15 minutes to Dynamo metro station. 1 station to Beloruskaya then from here you can take an airport train to Sheremetyevo Airport, very easy connection!

The Renaissance Monarch MOscow is a very good hotel, with great service and great amenities. The gym is better than average hotel gym, and the indoor swimming pool is very nice. Rooms are modern and well equiped, with very comfortable beds. Food is good, specially the breakfast buffet, but it has some details that are really absurd, like paying 6 or 7 Euro for an expresso coffee in the breakfast buffet, which should be included.
INternet is free in the lobby which is very convenient however slow, but you can use it without any problem.
In general, Moscow is a very expensive city regarding food and lodging , so this hotel has a descent price for MOscow standards.
My experience was good and will return.
