The hotel is in a good location. The building is nice and the interiors are lovely. The rooms are a good size. The staff are very nice and helpful. The restaurant is also very good. Would definitely stay again.

The outside of this hotel has character.

Inside the hotel foyer is done up in marble which is rich looking.

The rooms are clean and pleasant to stay in.

Our breakfast buffet had a good selection of both hot and cold items that tasted good.

The overall service at this hotel was what you would expect from a Marriott Hotel.

We would recommend it to friends.

This hotel is of moderate size with a grand and imposing lobby but has decent sized rooms. We stayed twice, for 1 week each time, and had large rooms with plenty of space both times. The pool is nice and the restaurants are good as well as the business lounge with good views. This is a reliable International hotel. The reason why we returned and rated this hotel highly is the location and the number of great restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Moscow has some great eateries and cafes and most of them are only minutes walk from this hotel. In addition there are several high quality 24h supermarkets near which is ideal for families as they have prepared food as well as groceries.

What this hotel is lacking in local culture and style, it makes up in location and large rooms. Well worth a visit.

Excellent location. A short walk to the Mayakovskaya Metro and the Red Square Area. Along the way are restaurants and places to shop. Large rooms that are spot on and that does mean clean. If there are bus groups, you would not realize it, as the staff and the layout of the hotel is perfect!

Located on Tverskaya St. 15 minutes walk from Kremlin and aside Mayakovskaya Metro Station, you can't wish a better location for your hotel in Moscow. The staff told me it is 4-stars hotel. For me it was 7 stars, I swear! LARGE rooms, something about 25 m. exellently furnished and equipped. Iron and Ironing board in every room.
The breakfast was rich and tasty. The only disadvantage I can mention is that the WIFi is free only in the lobby, and costs some 6-8 euro per hour in your room.
The SPA is great and it is open for you 24\7, unbelievable. By the way, it includes the pool and Jacuzee, and also separated dry and wet Sauna for ladies and gentlemen, great decision from my point of view. I know that our prime-minister (Israel) was hosted in this hotel. Trust him, he knew where to stop.

Room Tip: as higher as better, not to the street which is a bit noisy... Unfortunately I forgot the name..

Hotels are expensive in Moscow and that includes amenities such as meals and wifi. This property is a very reasonable Category 5 and has an excellent location. If you have high status the breakfast buffet and wifi are free. Otherwise, skip them. I'm a walker but will disagree that hiking to Red Square is an attractive option - better to take the Metro.

Staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Bedtime chocolate on pillow was a nice touch. Room felt much like a Stateside Marriott with the exception of the bathtub which is long and deep compared to USA.

Water pressure was low and wifi could not cope with FaceTime. Public wifi in lobby has better bandwidth.

Facilities are excellent. After spending some time in Sochi for the Games, it was great to be able to relax in a full service hotel. Side note: accommodations in Sochi were not nearly as bad as they were portrayed on TV. Back to the Moscow Marriott Grand Hotel, it is located really well. Within walking distance of Red Square and Kremlin, granted it's a fairly long walk. We visited in the cold Moscow winter and wished we had taken a cab. It's probably perfect in the summer. Tverskaya Street where the hotel is located is where all of the high end retail is located and there is great dining and nightlife nearby.

The hotel bar is expensive beyond belief. It was $22 USD for two medium cups of coffee. My only complaint is that wifi is not free. For as much as a room costs each night, I don't appreciate being nickel and dimed over wifi. Overall it's a great place and highly recommended.
