This hotel is not bad, a bit far from the center, but hotel shuttle makes it easy to get there. Very good breakfast and sport area. I was pretty satisfied with it. Room were nice and clean, with large plasma and clean and nice bathroom. Good service. Restaurant and bar inside the hotel with wifi are also very nice to stay for a drink. Rates are high though, but its typical for Moscow.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights at the beginning of July 2012.

When we checked in to the hotel we requested a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor.

After the first night spent wondering where the cigarette smoke smell was coming from we discovered that our non smoking floor shared a large atruim area with the smoking floor above.

We asked to be moved rooms which was done without question.

Smoking was also allowed in the lobby and restaurant areas which is very poor for any hotel in 2012 in my opinion.

The acceptance of smoking in the hotel and restaurants meant we could not fully enjoy the hotel ammenities and we resorted to using only room service for meals.

Smoking in this hotel ruined what could have been a very enjoyable stay.

Dear MHotelGuest, I am grateful for your comments. We are making some inroads into reducing our smoking areas in the hotel and just last month converted a further group of bedrooms into permanently non smoking. In Moscow there is still a significant proportion of the population whose expectation is that there will be designated smoking and non smoking areas in restaurants, bars and hotels. This is quite evident still in the city, and so we are trying to achieve a careful balance between both smokers and non smokers alike by having designated areas.

Kind Regards,
Robert Rudge

nice location, front staff were nice, friendly and easy check in.the rooms were nice and clean.but to my surprise and dismay there were no bath towels in the bathroom.there were only hand towels.breakfast was good but almost similar menu on all 5 days we stayed there.all rooms are non smoking which is good.overall nice place to stay except the bath towels and a little variety in breakfast menu.

Dear Sukhen Kumars, I appreciate your feedback, just a short note to apologise for the mistake with the towels, clearly that’s not a standard of ours !

Very convenient location. I found the hotel staff very friendly and prompt in their service. All hotel staff understand English ( which is very important in Russia ). Try and choose a room on higher floor for a good view of Moscow skyline. Free wifi in the lobby is a BIG plus.

This was a terrible hotel choice for a tourist.

Pro:
- Friendly service from the staff at the front desk

Cons:
- Room was generally kind of gross: stains on the marble counters, hairs everywhere, room looked like it had not been updated in 20-25 years
- Shower water temperature inconsistent: pulses between hot and cold
- The hotel is just weird: there are little shops set up on the room floors, so expect to have people lingering outside of your room and knowing exactly when you are there and when you are gone
- Right on a major road so expect to hear road noises late into the night, even if you are on a high floor
- The location is TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. From the metro, with no luggage, it takes 14 minutes to walk (at a moderate pace). With luggage it takes even longer. None of the sites are walkable in less than 45 minutes. There is a shuttle that goes to Pushkin Sq, Red Sq, and some market for grocery shopping (nowhere near anything touristy). The timing of the shuttle is weird in that it goes to the market 2x during prime time, and not to the tourist sites during those hours, so if you miss the shuttle you need to wait 2 hours for the next one. If you want to go anywhere other than those sites to which the shuttle goes, then expect to need to walk for ~15 minutes to the metro
- Noisy rooms. I could hear music late at night from my room
- This should seriously be considered at most a 3 or 3.5 star hotel

Dear Ian W,
Thank you for your comments about your stay. Our current timetable to operate our free shuttle bus service is a culmination of feedback from our guests. We have determined that both the Red Square and Pushkin Square locations are two of the most central points where a guest can explore many attractions. I am very sorry to learn about the level of cleanliness in your room, this is not indicative of our standards in the hotel. Also, please be assured that we do not operate any shops on the guest floors, we do have a few private offices around the hotel.

Kind Regards,
Robert Rudge
