“Beautiful and simple”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

A beautiful building. Inside it is stark and plain Very crowded and the best bit is from outside. There really is no need to wait and go inside: this church is notable for its appearance.

“Stunning”

This is a beautiful cathedral and also one of the symbols of Russia. The architecture is very unique (russian orthodox style). The cathedral located in the south of Red Square.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

This was the first main landmark we saw arriving in Moscow, and we were not disappointed. It was stunning from the outside, both during the day and at night. Costs 350 rubbles to get in (100 rubbles if you have a valid student ID). I would recommend going inside as it something you would have to see. Definitely the most stand-out attraction of the trip for us.

“Beautiful cathedral”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

We were advised not to go inside as the outside is the most beautiful part. They were setting up / dismantling the stage from a concert in Red Square, so we had to walk down to the river to get photos (bit annoying as there's a car park in front of that side of the building, but thank goodness for Photoshop!).

“*The* iconic landmark of Moscow”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Lots of history and Basil was a fool-of-God -- very similar to a Dervish/majdoob. Excellent, bright and colourful architecture. If you come to moscow it is pretty much mandatory that you go here.
