“Must do in Moscow”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

Just next to Red Square and everything else. This and Kremlin are must do for any first timer to Moscow.

A chance to understand Orthodox church. The interior was heavily restored and some rooms are still not finished which shows the original state.

Watch out for the chance to hear quartet singing. As opposed to Catholic churches they do not have organs to plan music. The quartet is at one of the small rooms waiting for enough guests and then start their singing. The singing is very impressive, and acoustics of the churches make it a great experience.
You can choose to buy their CDs after the performance at 700 roubles a piece or 1000 for two.

When in the church, don't miss the view to the Red Square. A great chance for some good photos.

This huge church can't be missed at the south end of Red Square. Took photos from all angles. Fee to enter.

“Stunning architecture!”

The frescoes and simply the age of this cathedral is amazing! We had the opportunity to be there when some of the priests were singing and the sound and acoustics were breathtaking.

Pictures of St. Basil's do not do it justice. Walking toward it across Red Square is just amazing. One of the great city must see icons.

“St Basil's - another tick on my bucket list”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

Stunning, even better by night. There was a quartet singing arcapella when we visited. Fantastic acoustics. The whole church rung with the sound of singing. A Georgian Chant was being sung when we entered the church - spine tingling. Lots of up and downing in this church, plenty of different levels. Beautiful icons. Beautiful views of the Square from the top. Well worth a visit you will not be disappointed.
