“Just souvenirs but cheap at least”

Went in a Saturday. Dolls, cups, hats, key rings really is all that's there. They have the kebab meat Crikey that is expensive 500rub for chicken and salad! Glad I went as I needed souvenirs but wouldn't go otherwise

“So much to choose from!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

The Izmailovsy Market is a wonderland of souveniers and flea market wonders. Everything from old cameras, bric a brac, clothes, buttons and heaps of local bits and pieces. Some of it is rubbish, but it is all worth a look. If you are after souveniers, don't waste your money on bits and pieces in the city. These markets are the place to get all the souveniers for your trip. I spent so much time wandering around that I lost track of time. The Metro is really close and convenient. My only word of caution is, if you go during winter, be careful of the ice on the ground. It is treacherous!!

“wasn't what I expected”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

Went to this market during the week, half the shops were closed. Didn't enjoy it much. Yes, lots of Russian made dolls, expected more artifacts, may be some crystals.
Did not seem to have what I wanted. Old Russian antiques.

“Izmailovsy Market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2014

At weekends this market has a flea market as well as the usual souvenir market. We spend hours checking out the flea market. Great for collectors of war relics - medals, guns, photos, pieces of uniforms etc. You could spend the best part of a day here. The metro is about a 5 minute walk away. Plenty of local craft also plenty made in China. Fur skins and coats. If you are squeamish beware a lot of the pelts still have their heads attached. Lots of food stalls. Beer and drinks available. You can barter. Lots of photo opportunities. A lovely place. The stall holders were a friendly lot, no problem with language barrier, money speaks in all cultures.

“Souvenirs Galore”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

There is a huge selection of touristy things ranging in price. Some of the stuff is actually made in Russia, while others are made by Russian artisans. Overall its a great place to grab everything you want to take home for gifts.
