“Moscow version of Central Park”
Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

A good place to go to do some serious people watching. Nice 300 acre green belt in the city, with moderate food spots and a few commercial exhibitions. The old amusement park is gone.

“Better than Central Park”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Gorky Park is the perfect antidote if Moscow's harsh architecture is getting you down. Full of beautiful gardens, activities, cafes and young Russians having fun. If you do one thing in Moscow, make it Gorky Park!

“Relax and rent equipment cheap.”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

£2 for unlimited table tennis or scooter rental
Or rent a bike for around a £5er.

If you're going as a family or couple this is an amazing place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city

Prepare for dancing, lovely gardens and all round fun.

“Great Park But Not As We Knew It”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Gorky Park I first visited in 2000. A decade after the fall of the Soviet Union. Today I went back almost a decade and a half later and while this park has been transformed and is full of life (families everywhere), what has gone and needed to go to be fair is the old amusement rides and the skating rink that became famous to westeners in the 1980s movie .. Gorky Park.

In 2000 the park was untouched and the rides imho edgy given the lack of safety standards. But as Moscow inparticular awakens from its darker past, things must change and what has been developed and still needs to be finished is a great park to play in and to be entertained in.

We had a brilliant afternoon / evening lying there on the freely provided oversized pillows on the grass. Yes we will always remember the park as it was as it was unique but we will enjoy the park as it is now much more. We will go back soon.
