“Out of the city, beautiful surroundings.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 March 2014

This is a huge complex, so wrap up warm. Some spectacular buildings and wonderful bridges. A really enjoyable few hours, walking through some beautiful wooded areas, from building to building. The metro station is located right outside, so after all that walking, you can take a well deserved sit down (if it isn't rush hour!!!).

“Respire clean air”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2014

Just less t/ 1 hour from moscow center, near from Orexovo metro station, a big park w/ museum, appears. Good for walking, musium is also worth seeing. Ekaterina II asked its construction (then abandoned, the gothic new construction is finished recently, looks beautiful). Garden looks Europe, many squirells appear.

“Royalty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 January 2014

We knew there were not many places in Moscow where you could some Romanov's houses or palaces, like in Saint Petersburg.
It was interesting to discover such place in Moscow.
Don't miss visiting museum inside, wonderful and royal style interiors.
It was a little bit chilly to walk around, we almost froze our nozes, but it is very interesting place to visit. I can imagine how beautiful it is in summer time.

“Beautiful park museum!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 December 2013

It was very beautiful park where you can have rest far away from noisy city.
Palaces are impressive, especially if you visit them inside. We can call this place as a Royal Moscow. We really liked this place and enjoyed it very much. Recommend this place to everyone!

“Beautiful and historical”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2013

Stunning reconstruction of the palace once designed for Katherine the great. This place offers a beautiful palm which you can walk in for hours. Natural surroundings, picnic areas, opportunities for keen artists to do some drawing and painting, and perfect picture opportunities.

The rebuild was complete around 7 years ago and as there was never anyone living in the palace; due to Katherine the Great demolishing it twice, the museum is more for those interested in the architecture and rebuild of the palace rather then the time period of when it was first designed.

Inside the palace there are often many exhibitions that take place. The information centre and the gift shop are both downstairs, underground, which can be entered through the main palace square, where you will also find the statues of the two architects who originally designed the palace for Katharine.

The spot is popular for weddings and post ceremony photo opportunities.

This is a beautiful spot, great for with kids and romantic for couples.
