After many years of struggling with sub standard Moscow hotels I finally found this one. I'd never stay anywhere else, it's ultra clean, extremely efficient, and the reception is always very warm and friendly. If all the other hotels I stay in around the world could achieve this standard then I'd be a very happy traveller!

Basically it doesn't cost the price. It has excellent place, excellent view, excellent interior and good stuff, except the one. Don't be affraid dogs I mean two securities walking around entrance. This is Moscow, baby. Don't make photos inside of hotel without administraror's permission, there is no freedom. This is very pompous place. And they don't have tooth brushes and slippers in rooms, bring your ones. Definitely it's not complete five star in spite of the price :-)

There are a lot of good things to say about this hotel: the rooms are very spacious, nicely designed, comfortable bed and very clean. The bathroom is also very nice, with marble floors, a nice bathtub and an even nicer large shower. I found the service very good as well, friendly and good knowledge of English. Breakfast buffest was ok, although not great. Internet access is free for the first 6 hours every day, which is unusual in big chain hotels. All in all one of the best business hotels I have been to, but I would not choose it for holidays, as it is just a little too "bland".

We found everything about this hotel was very good, except that the location is probably better suited to business visitors rather than tourists. As others here have said, the rooms, views and breakfasts are excellent. We found the staff friendly and helpful, especially the concierge. The Swiss Cafe is good for lunch, but is not open for dinner. The CitySpace cocktail bar on the 33rd floor has excellent cocktails and good food, but is more expensive than the Swiss Cafe, probably because of the spectacular views.

This hotel is definately worthy of it's 5 star rating. The room we stayed in was excellent, spacious and comfortable and the staff were incredibly helpful. Food was all very good though a bit pricey - although that is Moscow all round as far as i could tell. Great restaurant on the top floor with great views and they make an effort to fit in hotel residents when busy. We arrived very early after a long train journey and they kindly checked us in at no extra cost. The pool is good and was never busy while we were there so make the most of it if you have time. The hotel describes itself as near Red Square on the website. I don't think this is strictly true - depends on your definition of "near"! You can walk it but it will take an hour but you can hop on the metro a couple of stops and get there quickly. It depends whether that bothers you or not. For the standard of accomodation and cost i would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors offer great views so do not be put off.

Just had a great time in Swissotel last weekend. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel as always left a nice impression. Staggering views from the panoramic windows, very comfortable bed, professional staff and good work space, for a case you need to work in the hotel, are just some of the reasons why I choose this hotel. Thank you for the possibility to make a lovely coffee just in a room! Add to this the low season price and you will get probably the best hotel in the city.

Excellent business hotel, all staff speaks English, room size more than adequate (I had a standard one which was perfect), all very clean. Free and speedy WiFi. Spacious and stylish lobby with a bar. No queues either at check in or check out. Staff proactively asked for frequent flyer programme (I always forget this!), crediting of miles to my account worked perfectly.
It's very easy to get to the hotel with public transport. Just take the Airport Express from Domodedovo Airport (320 RUB, you can pay with credit card... so get your RUB later in the city where exchange rates are better) which ends at Paveletskiy railway station. From there it is about 10 mins to the hotel. Walk across the square in front of the station, then turn right. Look for the hotel's distinctive shape, it's visible from afar. All in all this takes about 1 hour from the airport and makes you independent from the Moscow traffic.
The breakfast is excellent but pricy (1500 RUB), try to book a rate where it is included. You can walk to Red Square from the hotel (25-30 mins, use the pedestrian underpass to get on the other side of the big road in front of the hotel, then keep besides the river and eventually turn right). However there's not much to see on the walk so taking the underground (2 stations to Red Square) is probably easier. The hotel is even visible from Red Square (see photo)!
Try out the bar at the hotel's top floor for a cocktail. You will have a magnificent view over the skyline (so go there after dark!). I didn't try out the Spa.
Overall highly recommended if you do not need to stay right next to Red Square.
