The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow

Stayed here for 3 nights with club room floor. Worth the extra cost of club room floor as restaurants very pricey in Moscow. Great service, comfy beds and spacious rooms. Within walking distance of kremlin and red square. Quiet rooms too.

The Ritz can only really be compared to one hotel in Moscow and that's the Hyatt (although pretty soon the Four Seasons will provide a little competition). The Ritz is lovely. I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could. The rooms are variable; I prefer the club room with a view to the superior rooms. And the executive rooms are very nice with a lot of additional space. The view from some of the rooms, the club lounge and the O2 terrace is fabulous. Service is fairly good though not everyone in the hotel speaks English very well (which is where the Ritz loses out to the Hyatt). Service and food are the comparative let-downs. There are very limited options for both room service and restaurant, with the only exception being Novikov - which isn't technically a part of the hotel itself but is situated at the lobby level. Hotel food options aside from this are seriously lacking in choice and very overpriced for what they are. Getting your car to the front entrance can also be a chore - but the advantage over the Hyatt is not having to negotiate the traffic on Neglinayya Street. Lobby areas are nice but can get crowded with tourists, etc. Breakfast is far better at the Hyatt but at the Ritz the spa, gym and pool are incomparable. Overall, this is a luxury hotel with real class in a perfect location close to tourist attractions, restaurants, the metro, etc. Of the two I would perhaps choose the Hyatt but that is as a business guest who has been travelling to Moscow for many years. As a tourist, go for the Ritz.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Everything according to expectation on a five star in a metropol.

Great terasse on 12th flor with magnificent view in the evening. Staff friendly service minded.

We used conference facilities on 2nd flor and where happy with that.

Breakfast very well. Lunch a bit below expectations.

I spent over a week here on a business trip, and love this hotel...Great location, wonderful restaurants and of course amazing attention to every detail! Walking distance to Red Square, a under ground mall is nearby. Make sure you visit the roof top restaurant/lounge, it has an amazing view....Interestingly enough, I passed by a McDonalds and noticed that alcohol was being served, not just beer and wine, but mixed drinks?!....go figure?!

We did an extended weekend and were busy everyday. Luxury and spoiled. Easy walking to ballet, kremlin, red square and shops. O2 bar is delight. Loved the shisha. Couples spa was just wonderful after a day out in the winter cold.

Concierge are very helpful.

Room Tip: Everything we expected.

I have just had the opportunity to visit Russia (St Petersburg and Moscow) on business and I have to say that the Ritz-Carlton in Moscow was absolutely wonderful and did not disappoint.

The hotel offers brilliant service from all their staff members with a warm welcome and smile on arrival to assistance at every turn with staff eager to assist and make your stay more comfortable and pleasant. The rooms are wonderful. They are extremely spacious, comfortable and clean and have all the amenities that a business man or women would need whilst travelling. I have to say the linen (pillows and duvets) on the bed are amazing – so soft and comfortable, I can’t remember last when I slept so well in a hotel bed. Location of the hotel is perfect. Situated next to the Red Square and within walking distance to the Kremlin Museum and many more famous landmarks.
The roof top restaurant will not disappoint. The restaurant offers the finest cuisine in the most exquisite surroundings in Moscow – sunset in one corner and the Red Square at night in the other.
Breakfast is certainly not to be missed as the selection of cuisine is fantastic and there is no better way to start your day. If you are fortunate enough to have access to the club floor – the restaurant and service is superb with friendly ladies to assist you.
I would highly recommend this hotel and will try my upmost to return with my family one day.

Room Tip: All are fabulous

I recently stayed at this grand old hotel facing Kremlin/Red Square and it was a pleasure.

Hotel staff is excellent, services world-class and O2 Lounge at rooftop is fabulous place to have a Birdseye view of this area.

It has classical grandeur of Tzar era but it's not too much in your face. Hotel has been very well preserved from history perspective,

Room Tip: Higher room away from main road are preferred. Traffic noise could be bothersome at times. During my...
