very upscale, perfect service and decadent food, its a feels like you are in a Cinderella castle for adults, all of that gold and antics in decor. Love pirogki with deer and juniper, great chinese dumplings, homemade ice creams and wild strawberry sorbe

I have no way of knowing how good this restaurant is as an evening al a carte venue. We came here for lunch with a tour group from the Volga Dream river cruise, and were very disappointed.
Over the top decor, but you can't eat the decor!
Indifferent waiters, very slow service (only 3-4 tables of customers) and very mediocre food.
A salad with greens over too-sweet duck, and then beef stroganoff that tasted canned. Strawberry sorbet was decent but ordinary. It took over an hour and half to get these 3 courses.

This is one of the most opulent restaurants I have ever been in, with the most fabulous decorations inside the cupola reflecting the oriental opera after which it is named. Be warned: this restaurant has a _very_ discreet sign outside; we walked past it 3 times before going in on the off-chance that this was the place.

The food is very good, and fun too; there are dry-ice deserts, and cryogenic cocktails. The smoked salmon starter was very good, the mongolian beef very tasty. Starting off with a glass of Champagne helps too.

The wine by the glass (Margaux) was less then stellar, but everything else was so lovely that I am happy to give a very high ranking. We paid 9000 roubles for 2, being relatively careful. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This restaurant is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The ambiance is exquisite, the service impeccable, and the food wonderful. It is located in a very nice area of town so you must come dressed in your finest.

Decadent in design, presentation and price - this restaurant is a nice place to entertain visitors if you are looking to give them a memorable experience in Moscow. As a resident expat shared with us, it's like having a meal inside a Faberge Egg - that description pretty much nails it on the head. The circular shape of the resturant is quite unique, with the accoustics on the second floor really amazing (no whispering, as someone on the otherside of the restgaurant will be able to hear you very clearly). There are also private rooms to the side if you wish to entertain guests out of earshot and away from the other guests. The menu is geared for fine dinning and very pricey. The food was very nice, however not spectacular. There is also a tea cart, with an enthusiastic tea connoisseur willing to perfectly match a tea to your menu choice and palette. This said the teas were very nice and memorable and made a welcome alternative to the desert menu. This is a nice restaurant to entertain and impress your guests and business colleagues.
