Fantastic Hotel!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 21 Nov 2021
Pokrov Convent Hotel stands out as a real treasure. It is rooted in the most significant Russian heritage and provides a high-touch, personalized, truly unique experience. Driven, dedicated hotel personnel made me feel like there was no better place in the world to be at that moment. I felt immersed in the relaxed atmosphere where I enjoyed delicious meals, getting fit and pampered at the health club.

By uniting the highest qualities of nuanced, authentic culture, unparallel esthetics, and cutting-edge, user-friendly design, I compare Pokrovski hotel with the world's best award-winning hotels.

I highly recommend Pokrovski hotel to anyone who travels to Moscow!

This hotel is in the grounds of an orthodox monastery. All visitors and guests are screened by security. There is a church on the grounds with relics of a venerated saint.
Hotel is run by nuns and other staff who are very friendly , speak English, and assist with all needs. There is also a spa, massage, small gym, etc. Extremely clean hotel, Excellent food in restaurant and a good breakfast buffet selection provided. Staff aim to please. The hotel is about 20 minutes from metro, but 2 bus stops from metro. Appropriate dress attire will be required - no short skirts, shorts.

Room tip: Our room faced a street but very quiet. Spacious, comfortable, all amenities provided. Our friends were also happy with their rooms.

The hotel is in the same complex with the Pokrov Convent and belong to the convent. There is religious guests and also non-religious ones and everyone is welcomed. It is a building like in the style of old russian buildings- impressive, amazing, beautiful, elegant, very clean, quiet, calm, relaxed. Wall paintings and paintings of beautiful russian nature. The garden is small but beautiful and so peaceful!
Everything in the hotel and in the room have a thought behind- useful, practical, pleasant. I didn't see a place with so much thought about the guest. The rooms are big (also the smallest of it). There is a kettle, a refrigerator, air-conditioner, water, tea, coffee, everything you need in the bathroom (even for shave) .
The staff was splendid- the gus on the breakfast/restaurant, the security and of course the nuns that do all the others works in the hotel.
Don't forget to leave time to go to the spa and the indoor pool.
Take a room with view to the convent- Moscow is a very busy city so there is a lot of noise from the street (if you like to sleep with close windows it will be not a problem for you. I can't sleep with closed windows) and also the view to the convent and the garden worth every rouble.
The complex close about 22:00-23:00, but there is a guard on duty, so you will not have problems to enter with your key. No visitors are permitted into the rooms, only at the holl and the restaurant.
The hotel is not in the city centre, is on the second ring (that is very comfortable place) and from the nearest metro about 15-18 minutes of walk, but you can take every bus/trolleybus from the street and in 2 minutes you are at the metro station (in Moscow the distances are huge, so this is "close" to the metro).
The only way (as I know) to do a book is calling them or sending an email. I receive the confirmation in some minutes. All the staff spokes english, so it is not a problem.
It is a luxury hotel but the price is mid-range (they are new).
Thank you very much to all the staff for the good time.

Room tip: Take room with view to the convent- the view to the convent and the garden worth every rouble
