The hotel is a little old and showing its age, most of the room furniture was quite old and the room in need of a re-fresh. The staff were very friendly and patient with our lack of Russian. The front desk staff are great and speak good English. For a couple of nights on business its ok, I would not want a long stay here.

It’s my favorite hotel in Khabarovsk. Good location in the center of the city. Hotel is small but very clean and pleasant. Staff is very attentive and polite. Also there was the tastiest breakfast!

This is a small hotel right smack on the main drag in the center of town.

The value for the money is not bad as Russian hotels go, and the room was clean & spacious with all the fixtures in working order. The bathroom was an ungainly and cramped plastic modular room that appears to have been shipped in from Japan as a single piece, but it worked reasonably well.

There was not always an English speaker at the front desk. They wanted to keep the room key at the front desk whenever I left. Some sort of security precaution, apparently. (People duplicating keys and then doing something nefarious.)

A tiny restaurant in the premises can serve a simple breakfast, but sometimes all the tables are occupied. There is a cafeteria-style restaurant across the street, Kafe Dalniy Vostok (The Far East Cafe) where, if you don't speak Russian, you can point to what you want and say "Eta, pa-ZHAL-ee-sta" (This one please). There is a small grocer half a block away.

We stayed here in November, and the nights here were around 5 F and the afternoons were almost up to freezing, which is not as bad as it sounds because there was almost no wind.

For more substantial facilities at a central location (but more expensive), try the Intourist. For longer term stays (but not so centrally located), go to the Mar-Kuel.
