I have been here three times now; had BarBQue every time. The Towne Tavern is not as big as it looks from the outside. It feels very homey, all in a good way; knotty pine panelling, good music, and families coming in for dinner. The menu is pretty comprehensive. Our friends had the salmon special, while my wife and I both had the BarBQue. Everyone was pleased. They stock a very good NA beer, which is not usual in a small town joint like this. We made reservations for 5:30pm, and are glad we did. Folk were standing at the door as we left 90 minutes later...on a Tuesday night. This is a great place for lunch and dinner. We were well taken care of by Cathy, and our food came quickly...and with great sides and reasonable portions. We'll be back.
