I don't go out often to eat because I am usually so disappointed in the outcome. This was so not the case here at Laperla. The food was extraordinary I could find nothing to improve or change. If you are a foodie this is the place to go!!!!

Situated in a small UpState New York Bed and Breakfast is a family run Italian run restaurant which is a culinary experience of the highest proportions. Every dish is specially made by the owner and chef and served most elegantly by his family. The salads are crisp fresh with a homemade dressing that is perfect. Every dish from the pasta to the buffalo steaks are perfect every time. During the week a quick meal in the bar area can be had by ordering a handmade calzone from the pizza oven with fresh mozzarella cheese- heaven in a tasty pizza dough! Because every dish is made to order, it takes a little time, but every bite is well worth the wait! Come try any dish - take some home and don't forget the homemade desserts.

Have you seen Eat, Pray Love or watched one of those travel shows where they have a pizza in Naples? That's what comes to your table at La Perla. In addition to the classic margherita pizza, there are 19 other combinations, from hot dogs to crab and everything in between.

But La Perla is about so much more than pizza. Their italian selections, especially their pasta dishes, have no peer in the Albany area. If you're looking for a non-pasta entree, get something with the brandy cream sauce.

Why is it so good? becuase the owners really are from Naples. Italy's loss is our gain.

My wife and I were looking for a place to get away to for her birthday and found this place on the web, decided to take a chance...and it was simply perfect. From the moment we arrived and until we left, we were delighted. Alfonso and his wife Anna Maria have a gem here, the charm of this place starts with their warm nature and extends to the willing staff who all seem to enjoy being there to serve you..Tim and Ion were tops. We selected a shrimp app and entrees of sea bass and veal..then Alfonso brought us plate of italian flat beans from the garden..I can't put into words how delicious the food was, just amazing. Next time I'm trying the pizza cooked by Alfonso in a wood fired brick oven, they looked like works of art, no kidding. ....and don't miss the tiramisu, another delight made from scratch... Almost forgot about the room and pool which were also very nice..so yeah, we more or less fell in love with the place and can't wait to go back
