Very good location very close to main railway station, Public transport, shopping restaurants all close by. A very small uncomfortable entrance on the road side with no signs. A cramped reception but good staff. No elevators at all. The rooms are on 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor. So all navigation through stairs. Watch-out for heavy luggage. No Bell boys. Floor very uneven watch your steps. rooms tiny with a stink. Bathrooms small. the walls room though give some fresh look. Roadside rooms noisy, light comes though due to light and inadequate curtains. Basic B&B breakfast in a school canteen like setup. Good for young people but not for old couples or families.

Room Tip: Not Suitable for families or old people

We found this budget hotel by chance. It is very reasonable for the money: clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities. Do not expect the Ritz! The location is good as you are near the main street and there are cafes, restaurants, the metro and even a supermarket on your doorstep. This is our first visit to Russia, we are British and we do not have the language but we felt safe staying here. The hotel was (surprisingly) quiet after 11pm and through the night. There are complimentary hot and colds drinks all day and the young women on reception speak good English. They are very friendly and helpful and we were always made to feel welcome.
Some guests may find the breakfast arrangement a downside as it is served in the hotel lobby and is self service so you have tour groups assembling around you as you eat-but the secret is to go down after 9.30am once they have dispersed.
The rooms are small and ours did not have a window but hey-how long are you going to spend in the room? For the price we cannot complain. In the Uk the same price in a similar prime location would probably only get you a plot of land to pitch a tent on!

The pictures on internet are fake, the rooms are excessively small, the breakfast area is actually a crossing lobby with space for half of the persons from our group. Some of the rooms have no window at all and are very dark and creepy.

Thank you for your opinion. We are sorry that we didn't fit your expactations. The pictures in the internet aren't fake, it is just good pictures which show our rooms from advantageous position like almost every hotel does with theirs. Every category of our rooms has square indicated on the site booking.com, our website and others. We are sorry that you missed it during you booking process. The same thing with rooms without windows. There is precise description of room without window on every internet chanel with pictures. Rooms like these have phrase "without window" everywhere. We are sorry about our breakfast area, because it is crossing lobby as you wrote, and we unfortunately couldn't organize another place for breakfast despite the fact that we really wanted to do it properly. We are offering our guests cupons with time on them to separate flows of our guests for their comfort. I can suggest other hotels of our chain where breakfast area isn't crossing lobby and has more seat places: Station Hotel A1, Station Hotel K43, Station Hotel S13, Station Hotel S10 and new Station Hotel L1.

With deep respect, Grigory Ilin

I stayed here with my fiancé for a week while visiting St. Petersburg. As US citizens Russia can be a scary place to visit on your own. That being said Station M19 made us feel safe and like we were at home. The reception staff spoke excellent English and were willing to help with anything needed. They booked our transfer to and from the airport. For the price I doubt you will find a better hotel than M19. It’s kept clean and up to date. That’s a huge plus if you have ever stayed anywhere that isn’t as clean as it should be or just feels outdated. While the rooms aren’t large by US standards (typical in European hotels) they certainly get the job done. Breakfast is included and has a changing selection daily. They offered fruits, meats, oatmeal and more with coffee and tea available 24/7. We payed around $30 per night. The best part of this hotel is it’s perfect location. You are close to everything in the center and only one block of Nevsky Prospect which is a bit noisier as far as hotel rooms are concerned. The metro station is on the corner, there’s pubs and restaurants on the same street. Everything you want to see as a tourist is close by or only one or two metro stops away. If you want to venture to Moscow the train station is only 2 blocks away and you are located near 2 or 3 shopping malls as well. If you are looking for a place to stay in Petersburg I highly recommend Station M19. I did not take any pictures of the hotel, but most of the other pictures here do it justice.
