We made the mistake of visiting Tandoor mostly because it was close to our hotel and had undeservingly high tripadvisor reviews. This is the typical case of a bad restaurant getting too many positive reviews because of its convenient location. I had the worst curry of my life here- watered down and flavorless. The typical Indian sauces (chutney and tamarind) that come with the papadum and samosa are also watered down and flavorless. We ordered the curry spicy and received a curry without any remote trace of spiciness. When I told the waiter (Sandeep) when he asked how the food was, he rudely dismissed the complaint and didn't believe me. He offered no discount on the meal or any complimentary food- not even an apology. I eat out almost every single night and I'm easy to please- I absolutely never complain. Something that is subjectively bad to me may be good to someone else. I respect that everyone's tastes are different. However, spiciness is objective and the curry had nothing. It's like ordering a steak medium rare and getting it charred and burnt to a crisp and the waiter telling you you're wrong. Obviously this place is overpriced too for decent Indian food but I'm not even considering that because it's 1 star before factoring that in. Don't waste your money or time here.
