I spent five nights here in September. This hotel is located right off Nevsky Prospekt, about a 15-20 minute walk from Church on Spilled Blood at 25-30 to the Hermitage. Between here and there, you have a good length of Nevsky with many opportunities to shop and eat at every price range.
I had a single standard room which was the usual size except for the bathroom and shower, which were quite small. My room faced an interior courtyard and I never heard any noise or other guests coming and going; it was a great place to sleep!
Breakfast was standard: cornflakes, bread, fruits, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee/tea. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Wifi is free and it worked well.
I would stay here again because I liked the property. It is quite a walk back at the end of the day though when you are tired and possibly carrying a lot of shopping, just a reminder!
