This hotel isn't getting the 5 stars of other reviews because the breakfast (and breakfast room) could be better and the drapes didn't quite block out the white nights. That said, the location, within sight of the Church on Spilled Blood, and a few minutes walk from the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, the Mikhailovsky theater, and Nevsky Prospekt, is great. St. Petersburg is very large, which makes a good location valuable. You can catch a boat to tour the canals right outside the door. It's as quiet as you can be with the activities around. There were several good restaurants within a block. My room on the third floor had a view of the top of one spire of the Spilled Blood church, so if you want that view, you should request a room above the third floor (and facing that direction). The staff was very helpful.

Stayed here for 2 nights in early June 2012. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a comfort room (number 33) free of charge. The room was large by European standards, all newly furnished. Comfortable beds, big bathroom, excellent shower (2 heads, each with several modes, some are very funny - I would like one of these installed at home!), plenty of hot water, air conditioning works fast. The 5th floor breakfast room has views of the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. The location is great, too - you get to the Neva embankment in 5 minutes, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood in 5 minutes, Nevsky prospect in 10 minutes, the Hermitage and the rocket / meteor pier to Peterhof in 10 minutes.

Cons that the hotel needs to work on:
- Smile! All staff is Russian and they never smile. I don't care if it is a tradition, I just want friendly service, alright?
- Speak English! They can, but for some reason they made me translate everything for my friend. Why?
- Breakfast is not included in the room price, so you have to pay 300 roubles to the hotel when you are checking-out. This is inconvenient as it takes time. Secondly, when you are just about to sit down at a table, a boy suddenly appears asking you to sign the confession of your room number. Humiliating, unnecessary, annoying.
- Proper coffee is not included into the breakfast cost, so you have to pay separately. Not to the hotel, but directly in the breakfast room, in dirty cash. Annoying.
- Shampoo and shower gel are in sachets rather than bottles, and you only get two of each. So you don't really have enough if you shower both in the evening and in the morning. If there are 2 people in the room, you would need 4 of each, so 8 sachets in total. Very inconvenient to open them, either. I used my teeth, yes!!

Dear Kisso!
First of all I want to thank you for your candid feedback.
We will respect your wishes and try to eliminate them. We bring our apologies if our staff seemed unfriendly to you, and the bartenders have created a sense of rush during your lunch. We will definitely work on our mistakes.
I sincerely hope you remember the trip to St. Petersburg from the good side.
Looking forward to seeing you again.

"Most" in Russian means "bridge".  There are three bridges within a few meters of the hotel and its address is 3A Moyka.  So there is some indication on how they came up with their name.  The location is outstanding - a ten minute walk to the Hermitage and the domes of the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood are visible from your room if you're on the 4th floor or higher.  We had an enormous room by European standards, with a view of the domes.  The service is five star and especially helpful for tourists like us who were not travelling with a group.  They provided us with the necessary documentation to obtain our visa and booked a train to Helsinki for us when we were unable to do so via the Internet.  Communications by email in the months leading up to our trip were prompt, efficient and in excellent English.  We usually had a reply within the hour regardless of whether it was the middle of the night in St. Petersburg.  Given the prices for hotels in St. Petersburg, we thought that the rate of 7000 roubles per night was very reasonable.  Highly recommended.

Breakfast is not included, but available for 300 roubles.  I suggest that you pass on that offer as the breakfast is mediocre and the coffee is instant.  At a two minute walk, you'll find the Cafe Stolle, which has excellent coffee and wonderful Russian sweet and savory pastries.

We booked two rooms here for 4 days in May. We found the hotel to be clean, charming and best of all - in a terrific location. You can easily walk to many attractions - Church of the Spilled Blood (beautiful mosaics from floor to ceiling) - and the Hermitage. Also - two short blocks from the Neva River. We thought the buffet breakfast was sufficient. Not the best buffet I've ever eaten - but considering the prices elsewhere - at 300 rubles it wasn't bad. It was a little disquieting that the staff seemed to constantly change. Not sure that we saw the same person at the front desk more than once. And the directions given by the front desk the night we arrived were a little confusing. But, it ended up to be a very enjoyable stay.

I agree with everything said in the good reviews - we booked this hotel based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Very clean, excellent location, very comfortable bed. Only slight point is the breakfast really is not great. Make the most of getting out and about and go to a cafe!

Room Tip: The higher you are the quieter it will be but this is not a noisy area of the city at all.
