We stayed here for four nights and had contacted the hotel beforehand to organise our trip. The concierge Mary was wonderful and arranged everything perfectly for us from tours to tickets in a box at The Marinsky Ballet. On arrival we were so well looked after from checking in with a glass of champagne to our lovely room. The tours arranged by the hotel included a driver, the hotel Mercedes and a wonderful knowledgable guide. We went all around the city, visited The Hermitage and then on our second day St Catherine's Palace. We ate at the Caviar Room one night and were given vodka to try by the wonderful staff as they overheard us saying we had never tried it. The food was superb as was the service. Breakfasts were out of this world with the piano playing in the background. We were sorry to leave but on our return were sent a wonderful coffee table book about the city and a Russian doll which was a lovely touch and a wonderful surprise. Could not fault the hotel or the city and would love to go back in the spring.
