“Excellent Experience”

The Corinthia Hotel in St Petersburg is definitely a first class hotel with excellent service throughout. The smiling staff make all the difference to one's stay in a hotel. Breakfast was very good with a very wide choice. It is in a perfect location in the centre of the city.

Room Tip: We had a room which was overlooking a courtyard and was very quiet. However I guess that all rooms h...

We stayed here for 4 nights and we upgraded to an Executive Room for €200 which was well worth it. The hotel was superb in every way, from the room, the bed, the lounge and the public areas. Every member of staff we interacted with was first rate and helpful and especially the housekeeping staff who we rarely saw but did an excellent job. The staff who looked after the Executive Lounge were very attentive and pleasant to speak with. Breakfast was excellent too with a huge selection of food and drink.

First time we have stayed in a Corinthia Hotel and we would highly recommend this one and seek out others too if these are the standards they set.

We arrived at the Corinthia and on approaching the reception desk to check in,we were offered a glass of champagne. That was a lovely touch and very welcome!
We asked about upgrading to an Executive room, at the going rate, which was dealt with efficiently, and this gave us access to the Executive lounge, which was excellent, with a nice range of snacks and food, and drinks served when ordered.
There were also 3 computers and a printer, meaning we could check-in online 24 hours before our flight home, and it was a lovely area to sit and relax after walking miles during the day.
The hotel was spotlessly clean, the housekeeping staff were a credit to the team, and the breakfasts were plentiful, fresh and well topped up, and champagne was also on offer then too.
This really is a five star property, and within walking distance of many of the museums/cathedrals, like the Hermitage, Church on Spilled Blood, and also right near a tube station for places a little further away. The whole experience was made very special by the Corinthia and staff. Thank you to them all for making our 4 night stay so memorable. The bed was one of the comfiest hotel beds ever, and the pillow menu meant we could have memory foam orthopaedic pillows which gave us amazing nights' sleep.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a bit of luxury.

Room Tip: Our room faced into an inner roof/courtyard (fourth floor) and not over the main street, which was a...

Meets international standards but certainly doesn't exceed them. Case in point - being served (and not even offered) coffee/tea only 20 mins after starting breakfast.. Room service is attentive but food is basic without any flair.

We visited many hotels in st Petersburg and really the Corinthia is one of the very best. the full breakfast was perfect, served on impeccable linen tablecloths, and included free champagne and large bowls of red caviar, refilled many times. The concierge desk is either lazy or is paid to just suggest very expensive individual tour guides. You have to get your own thru the internet. We found ours by going on the canal boat tour and calling the owner, who was able to take us where we wanted ourselves at a third the price.
Immaculate hotel, and spectacular chandeliers in totally modern entrance and lobby. Most hotels even on non smoking floors stink of tobacco. Not the Corinthia. The alleviated that problem by having each elevator bank on each floor being totally enclosed in glass. Soon smoke ever entered the corridor. Whew. Go for this one.

Room Tip: Front of hotel on higher floors have rooms with little terrace right on the main street. Gorgeous E...

Just came back from a business trip to St Petersburg , I've stayed at the Corinthia Hotel and upgrated to the executive suites , the room was GREAT, very very beutiful and comfortable , I liked the soft bed and the pillows which finally I found of great quality and soft enough......
The hotel itself is very beautiful and decorated with great taste , statues and paintings and of course the staff was very gentle.
The only remark I have to do is regarding the food, far away from what I know about any 5 star hotel , so if you came to St Petersburg, the hotel is a good pick but have your food in some other place.

Room Tip: if you can choose the executive rooms

You just never know what to expect in Russia.

The cities are fast paced, self-absorbed, rude and slightly edgey and frankly, so are most of the people, hotels and restuarants.

The staff at the Corinthia impressed me from the outset, bending over backwards to help us with the papers before we had even left home, and that first impression was confirmed upon arrival - professional and prompt at every opportunity, organising cars, ballet tickets, restuarant bookings etc.

The hotel itself is located on busy Nevsky Prospect, walking distance to shopping, canal tours, subway, and many attractions. There was a security person at the entrance at all times, which was a comfort as the city can be overwhelming at times - it was good to know we could just duck back inside with the family for a breather if need be.

The room was quality and the hotel facilities excellent, the only letdown was the Imperial restuarant, which was expensive, but with poor service and an unimaginate menu.

Overall coming back each night to a hotel where you knew you were welcome and valued helped make the whole St Petersburg experience worthwhile.
