A reasonable hotel... typical corporate type of place. Rooms are fine, modern, sleek, no extra touches but perfectly acceptable and with some reasonable views. The let down though is the restaurant for breakfast/dinner if your on a tour or any package deal. If you imagine a university canteen then you have the dining experience. It can get very very busy and you need to be in twos so somebody can save your seat whilst you go to the buffet as anything is cleared away quickly and someone else will sit where you have been. I had three different seats one morning! The food is pretty dire. Breakfast the worst, cold, plain, tasteless. Dinner is not much better, they seem to repeat the same courses every other night. I wasnt expecting to be blown away by Russian food but this is not even up to canteen standards, it was luke warm and tasteless. The only good point was a nice salad bar. Drinks expensive but not quite as bad as Moscow hotels. Apart from that the hotel is fine. Location is not central, you are out on a limb and nowhere to go in the evenings apart from a very very good Irish bar just across the road, but it is small and get extremely busy as so many people have to go there!
