Starting from the reception everything went well, they were polite and quick. Room was just as assume it to be, 2 nice rooms, only the view was to backyard, but I was not there to look out my window. Breakfast nice, you can find everything from buffe, rest is up to you, like it or dislike.
If need of public transportation nearest metro is only stone throw away. Lots of shops and different kind of restaurants also nearby. Price ratio is good.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking to park have better views

I've stayed here twice in the last two months and the hotel is pretty good (for a Russian hotel). The rooms are spacious and clean and the food is decent. The beds are comfortable and the linens are comparable to what I've seen in other European hotels. My only complaint is that the carpets are ancient, worn and stained. Either a nice laminate/wood floor or replacement carpet would go a long way to improving the appearance of the room.

Rossiya Hotel is a good 3* hotel. My room was clean and warm - and it was -20 outside. The hotel is located in a busy area of St Petersburg, close to the tube station so if you're going to use public transport this is a good choice. What I didn't like is that there was no Wi-Fi in my room but there was in the lobby bar downstairs.

I stayed there just because a conference we attended was held at the hotel conference centre. The hotel is located in a 15 min walk distance from the tube station but quite far from the tourist attractions, in a newer part of Stalin time district; there are several huge modern multi-flats buildings with a crowd rushing somewhere all the time. A standard single room was so small that my colleague joked sadly: this is smaller than we used to live as students at university accommodation. I had to open the window in my room because it smelled badly. A service at the reception is deadly slow, but not because of staff – the equipment at the desk worked hardly and volume of paperwork needed to be done for each guest was terribly huge.

After reading the reviews i was quite apprehensive about staying in the hotel. However, believe me its not that bad.Yes, the rooms are very small, beds are not so comfortable but its location & courteous staff (especially "Dilyaara" to helped immensely) makes up for all the other things.I stayed there for 7 nights and it has some best of the restaurants, pubs, malls just across the road. I would recommend it to very body if they are in St Petersburg to explore and visit beautiful places.Double standard rooms & suites are much better.

Room Tip: Double Standard rooms & suites are much spacious

This was very depressive hotel. Tiny dirty room with paper walls and wooden floor common for more rooms, so any walk in any room around moved the floor in my room. There were two beds both somehow broken and not straigth. The matrace was full of any human liquids You can imagine and the sheet was not long enough to cover, also full of stains. Bathroom was covered with a layer of slime, so wherever I have been, only in this hotel I took shower fully dressed. It was also quite expensive - 5000 rubles per night. Breakfast just horrible, mildew sausages and so, eh. Ok for emergency one night stay, but if You can choose, choose another hotel.

Room Tip: There might be better rooms in that hotel, but definitelly not at 7th and 8th floor.

We booked a double room for about 140 dollars per night. The price is outrageous (to say the least) for the room of that size. That was the smallest room we ever stayed in. In fact it was so small, that there was no room for a TV which was attached to the wall just below the ceiling. The worst of all was the smell of tobacco. It was terrible.
IT IS A SHAME THIS HOTEL BEARS THE NAME OF RUSSIA.
Folks, spend your money elsewhere.
The only good thing I can say about this hotel is its location. It is not far from the airport and close to a Metro station.
