“A COMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE WITH A BIG SMILE”
Reviewed 1 December 2010

Nothing is too much trouble for the servive help of this hotel, good position for touring, small price per night compared to any other hotel in the area.
I have been here many times over the last two years and never a bad meal or nights sleep.
The beds are very comfortable and the staff are always helpful.

The room at BKH was clean and mostly quiet. Staff is friendly and speaks English. BKH is located at edge of city center so 10 min walk to Soviet Cafe, 25 min walk to Hermitage, St. Issac's Cathedral, etc. and 40 min walk to Peter & Paul Fortress. Breakfast included has local pastries, coffee, tea, cheese, cereal, and yogurt. Grocery store around corner as well as several inexpensive cafe's. Nice and warm inside even when very snowy and cold outside!

I stayed there 5 nights and really enjoyed my travel. It is very close to metro and grocery markets. The price is cheap and reasonable for a 4-starred hotel. If I went to Saint-Petersburg again, I would have no doubt to stay in the Brothers Karamazov Hotel.

I stayed one night at this hotel with my husband at a superior room called "Aglaya". Lovely thing is that each of 5 superior rooms has the name of Dostoyevsky's character. Superior rooms are big enough, clean and comfortable. The best advantage of the hotel is its location in the calm part of the downtown, but 10-15 min walk from Nevsky prospect and around 5 min. walk from an underground station. There are many restaurants and cafes all around so it's not a problem to find a good place for lunch or dinner.
The only thing to be improved is breakfast. It's a bit poor, for those who are not too hungry in the morning. But I do believe it's a matter of time, the management really cares about feedback, so they will cope with it.
I would recommend this hotel for budget travelers who would like to have a good balance between value and money.

This was not the most modern hotel but it was quiet and clean and not far away from the busy Nevsky Prospect. The front-desk staff speak English and make an effort to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. There is a restaurant in the hotel but never got around to eating there but it was highly recommended by the tour-guide. Rooms are adequately furnished - television with 2 English news channels, mini-bar in refridgerator. Bathroom was spacious and clean with lots of warm water to shower. All in all pretty decent place to stay for a few days in St. Petersburg.

We spent 6 nights at Karamazov Brothers and I would recommend it. Not far from metro station, it´s a quiet spot. Close to bank, restaurant and supermarket. Staff are friendly and rooms are comfortable. Although shampoo and shower gel come in sachets and are not very good, towels are clean as well as sheets although the carpet was not very clean.
One thing I found a bit funny: they charge you for extra pillow!!
Breakfast is nice, but there´s always something missing, such as napkins, or cheese, or juice...
