This hotel is located closest to the main attractivities in the center of St. Petersburg. The rooms are well equipped, the beds are good and the staff is very helpful. Breakfast is not fancy but absolutely ok and the staff prepared it right away.
The area is quiet despite the fact that the hotel is just a few steps from the Newsky Prospekt. On the backside of the entrance at Kasanskaya ulitsa we found a couple of very good restaurants which is also a positive point.
For handicapped poeple, keep in mind that the reception is in the fourth floor without elevator.

Room Tip: Ask for a room where you can see the channel. This is very quiet.

A some what small Hotel it is very centrally located. The only downside is there is not an elevator. My room was large, clean, and had a very nice view of the canal in front of the Building. N. Prospeckt is approx. 2 min. The Church on spilled blood about 4 min. The Winter Palace is a ten to 15 min. stroll. Just behind the Kazan Cathedral. Breakfast was all you could eat and typical for an eastern country. The desk staff was very helpful with reservations, questions, and arranging my departure cab to the airport ( cheaper than on the street), A great choice.

The worse thing about this hotel is the climb of four flights of stairs. No elevator in the building. if you are not capable of climbing stairs with your suitcase, this is not the place for you. I felt when entering the building like I was stepping back into Soviet times. The bathroom was small with a small shower area, trying our best not to get water outside the curtain limits, if impossible.

It was located with an easy walk of main avenue by the Kazan Cathedral, could not ask for a better location.

Breakfast was very simple but adequate. Ask for a room facing the canal, rooms are spacious and quiet.

Room Tip: Beds are very hard but ask for a room facing the canal.

Dear Guests!

Thank your for your opinion. It is very important for us.

Please be advised that a building where the hotel is located is really ancient with its own unique history. It was designed by the architect Keiser and raised in 1879. The information about elevator absence is available through all sources and is not hidden from our guests. Moreover now in case of taxi order handling of guests' luggage is available at extra charge.
We hope this information will be useful for our future guests.

Faithfully yours,

Stayed in here for a few nights in Sep 2012. We were glad we booked a taxi from the airport to the hotel after hearing other horror stories. Great location for bars and shopping and plenty to do close by even later on. The staff were friendly and spoke good english. They served us a breakfast which was passable and had time to show us maps etc. For the price, it has to be recommended, just watch those flaming stairs!

Room Tip: The room was quiet enough so no problems.

Well located , near the center. Very kind people , even if some do not speak english at all! The cleary do their best. Breakfast simple included. Ask for a room with view on the canal (good windows no noise). Clean ++ and simple. Not for old people (5 floors no elevators). When you register ask for reserving a taxi from the aiport ( 700 rble with hotel); if you take it at the airport , 3000 rbles No Comment!
Chraming hotel to the extent where it is an old building

Room Tip: choose the canal's view.
