We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Kazan. The hotel is located in the centre of the city, close to the Kremlin and main shopping district.

On the whole, the hotel is what you would expect of an Ibis hotel - clean and modern rooms, professional staff and all for a good price. Rooms were clean and well appointed with free wifi, TV, WC and shower and lots of storage. The hotel has a cafe / bar offering drinks, meals, snacks and breakfast. We ate breakfast in the hotel (not included in the room rate) which was plentiful and offered a range of continental and Russian items.

We checked in earlier than the specified 12:00 check in - this didn't pose a problem as the room was ready and the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. Overall, a pleasant and reliable hotel in a very good location.

Location
Location right in the centre of Kazan, from the airport it is maybe 30 km or 20 minutes. Within the area is a pharmacy off the main road, then 2 bars one Munich German themed "beer House" (very good beer and food) before one more block and you are on the main pedestrian street of Baumanan Ulitsa - pedestrian street with McDonalds, some old buildings, bars and lots of tacky souvenir shops. However close by maybe 20min walk from hotel is the main Kremlin - a Unesco protected site which is worth a visit to see the magnificent architecture both that and the new mosk and orthodox church.
Room
Room is basic budget Ibis style- clean and simple with no frils. One large double bed accompanied by two baby pillows- luckily I was solo so was ok but small and not so soft. However bed was soft and just about adequately sleep worthy. TV was very small built into a cabinet but offers AV extensions slots on side. Channels include 95% Russian with a blurry BBC and RTL. Rest of room had open Ikea style bland furniture with long wooden open wardobe, a safe that was too confusing to operate, simple chair and two bed size tables. There was two bed side lamps, a phone but no fridge- although a luggage rack. The bathroom had a wide shower area enough for two people but small bathroom with toilet and sink in close proximity. The amenities were fixed called hand body hair and were same by tap at sink as was by shower. No other amenities offered except hair dryer & Towel was large and water though was hot.
Back in the room, there was some Russian style plugs existed and a A/C but either too hot or too cold as had dial setting and confusing to pin point the exact temperature you want with no numbers displayed. However it did work well. Room was clean but felt it is a new halls of residence room at university when i look at the decor.
Staff
Staff speak overall a good level of English at front desk but not so in other areas- typical Russian to be fair culture that comes across as overly serious and not that enthsusiatic (when u judge enthusiasm on welcome with smiles and eye contact) but saying that they do resolve any issues quickly. As a colleague was paying for my room, it still took until the 2nd day for a staff member to ask me when I will be paying - when his credit card was given to them upon arrival.
Facilities
There is Free WIFI- Unsecured- multiple devices and worked well. Breakfast is offered from 6-10 and for a international guest offers weak and poor standard of items, this included dried out processed cheese, odd meat balls, greasy potato wedges and bacon and cold meats that tasted fatty and overly chewy. There was an adequate bread selection but no toaster or peanut butter, some cereals but miik was not that cold or covered. Juices were adequate but all served quite warm. I felt like other than the hot items that they might leave everything out all night as it tasted that way. None of the food was covered and after a few bites decided to go to mc donalds (5 minute walk away).
Ordered a Burger later that evening and assumed it would be a beef burger but was a cutlet and again tasted very weird. The chips were nice though. Without being rude this food is obviously for Russians and so on a different standard as they were all getting well into their breakfast.
In addition there is a cafe and atm machine.
Overall simple hotel with its main selling point of being some what budget international with free wifi very close to the centre but with a poor standard of breakfast and room very much simple. Fine for a few days but a week I would not enjoy.

Hotel situated in center near walking Bauman street, at riverside, but there are calm and quiet. Rooms are clear, staff are polite. Nothing bad. Everything's normally and standard. I didn't take a breakfast.

It is a good Choice in Kazan, wich was one of our Travelpoints, at our two Week Rountrip. It does have the typically Ibis Design (the new one) and we felt good and comfortable there. Due its good Location, just in the Heart of Kazan, it was perfect for City Trips and Shopping. Also Breakfast Service was perfect.
