Despite the terribly ugly Soviet building, the hotel was not half as bad.

The room was decent size and the wi-fi worked seamlessly. Hotel is situated 10-15 min walking distance to the Lenin Square and right by a metro station. The breakfast is not as bad as some other reviewers suggest - average but not bad. Water coolers in the corridors are convenient.

I hated the fluorescent light in the bathroom which must be one of the few remnants of the Soviet hotel. The street in front of the hotel is very busy and the traffic noise might keep some awake at night. I thought that the staff could be little more friendlier.

All things considered, I would recommend a stay here.

This hotel gives you a cosmopolitan feeling right in the Centre of Novosibirsk, across the railway station. Rooms are functional and OK, breakfast is more or less well organized but quality could be better. The restaurant in the lobby is good, and service is nice and friendly.

Usually I have been staying in the "business" room, the room comes with DVD player and a big LCD TV. As usual there are limited foreign language channels, mainly Russian language althought there are a couple of movie channels all dubbed in Russian. Water cooler are available in every level, just in case the bottle of water is not enough for you.

Room Tip: It helps to request for high floors facing the train station, you will also get to see the Ob River. View is fantastic and night time are great for photo opportunities.

Located right in front of the train station in Novosibirsk. The appearance of the hotel is a cement block soviet style (with an erotic club entrance just on the left side). Rooms are very modern and compfortable. The bathroom is big and colourfull, you have wifi, big flat tv screen. Buffet breakfast included in the price which is very high (for russian standard). Metro station is also across the street, but the city center is just 10min by foot. The hotel also offers a sauna room (1 hour is 1000 rubly no matter how many people). Very interstingly, you reserve for a sauna but you are provided with an entire floor where there is also a hydromassage, sitting room with tv and a room were to go and lie down (sofa and bed are covered in leather so you can sit even if coming direcly out of the sauna). Bar and restaurant service is also available in this premises.

What's good - location, across road from railway station and right by metro; free and fast laundry service; and a pleasant bar and grill (Beerman and Grill) on the ground floor.
What's bad - not enough lifts (only 3 for 23 floors); electronic room keys that are prone to failure; and seedy flyers for the strip club on the premises in the lift lobby.
What's OK - large rooms; and buffet breakfast, provided that you steer clear of any cooked items other than hard-boiled eggs.
Generally the place is trying to be like a western business hotel, but does not fully succeed. When we arrived our room had obviously just been used - bed rumpled, towels dirty, loo not flushed, window wide open - and while the staff were quick enough to move us they forgot to provide two sets of towels for the two of us in the new room.
