We stayed for leisure, a July visit in the heat of summer. Apparently June is the month for mosquitoes and midges. The hotel is across the square from the Volgograd Hotel and bang in the middle of the city. The rooms are clean, acceptable although a week there may be trying. The breakfast is below par and I would say go across the square to Grand Cafe. The air-con just about took the edge of the heat, but only just. The staff were helpful, spoke English, ordered taxis, had a bag concierge. The taxi from the airport was 600roubles and 25 minutes. We would stay there again.
