This was my second time I stayed there. Its very clean, helpful Egyptian staff and very close to the Masjid e nabawi. It is expensive however its literally a 3 min walk to the masjid. Breakfast is average which is ok. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We got lucky and got a room over seeing the Masjid e Nabawi.

Room Tip: Don't be fooled by the staff if they recommend you spend 140 riyal on ziyarat. Just stand outsid...

I am amazed with the some of the reviews. People don't go there to stay in the hotel . We enjoyed our stay every minute of our stay. Come out of the hotel and you are in Haram. Food was excellent. We asked for special dish at dinner and it was accommodated. Hotel is bit old but after talking to the management who informed us that it is being renovated this year. I will highly recommend this hotel. Ask for Cheff Al-Zinatti if you need special food.

Room Tip: This was our second time staying at this hotel. We have used regular quad room as well suite. All ro...

ok there are many things to say.. to start wid no bell boy will come out till u go into the hotel and call for him and when he gets ur luggage to ur room he will have his hands stretched towards u for 10 riyals.. and this will go on till ur entire stay.. and ull get a feeling of as if u have been held for a ransom...
.
ROOMS- in islam hygene is half of ur deen but this hotel is miles away from this belief and i feel they seriously need some hygene lessons.. in short the rooms are stinky, small and suffocating..

STAFF- from the bell boys to the managing staff all make u feel as if they are doing a favour by letting u stay in their hotel..

ROOM SERVICE- be ready to go down to the restaurant to collect ur stuffs as the staff is always out on breaks and when they will arrive at ur door an hour late they will have their hands stretched towards ur face for tips..

FOOD- its not food to be precise... ull feel ur on a survival camp...

LOCATION- The best thing abt the hotel is the location as it is just 1min walk from the masjid..

Stayed here with family in Feb '13. Had taken a double room and a quad room.

Location:
This is probably the only positive of this hotel. It is less than a minute from the Holy mosque.

Lifts:
The hotel has 6 lifts for its 14 something floors. However, the lifts are small and old and wont accommodate more than 6 at one time. If a bell boy comes around with his luggage trolley then this will occupy a complete lift with no room for anyone else.

Rooms:
The entire hotel building is begging for maintenance but the management seems oblivious to this. You will see leakage marks on ceilings and walls in common areas, broken beds left in the hallways, even vacuum cleaners used by the room service are left in the hallways at the end of the day. The rooms themselves are no different. The quad room we were initially given was stinking and had a leak in the bathroom ceiling. We had to fight with the hotel staff and involve our travel agent to get a change of room. The quad rooms are actually double rooms which have been converted into quad room by placing extra beds on either side. You can easily make this out looking at the design of the rooms. The bath tubs do not have anti slip floors which means if you are not careful, you can easily slip. The room we got did not have the cold water tap working in the bath tub. The AC also would not work as expected. Even if you would turn on the heater, it wouldnt heat the room. Rooms do not even have tea makers, no other complimentary services.

Staff:
The staff is one of the worst i have seen in all my travels. They are quite rude and hate to generally do any kind of work. No extra requests are ever accommodated and no one will ever try to please the guests. The bell boys will try to avoid helping guests with luggage and will actually fight with you to get into the lift first rather than letting guests take up the lifts like it happens in every other hotel worldwide. The room service will give answers like "Someone will come over after half hour". When we asked for extra pillows, we were told that the hotel will provide only 1 extra pillow per room. So in a quad room with 4 guests, you have to make do with just 1 extra pillow to share between 4 people (not sure how they expect guests to do this!). In short do not expect anything from hotel staff. They have a very high-handed attitude.

Food:
We had breakfast included in our package so i will only review the breakfast. The breakfast is very limited in a small hall which cannot accommodate many guests so be prepared to share your table with strangers. The food itself doesnt taste too good. The quantity is also very limited which means if you are late, you might not get anything to eat.

All in all, avoid this hotel at all costs. This hotel is usually booked by tours since its cheap and near to the mosque but has absolutely no class. Book this hotel only if you are very tight on budget but have children or elders and need a hotel near to the mosque. But be ready to compromise. The only thing that actually justifies paying anything is the proximity to the holy mosque.

Stayed for 4 nights following Hajj. This hotel is 3 mins walk from the ladies entrance to the Prophets Mosque.

The hotel has a good selection of food. There is a huge reception area with hig comfy chairs

The rooms are ok we had two single beds me and my husband pushed together. My husband was ill whilst in Madinah so unfortunately we spent a lot of time in the room. Think it needs updating a little of the decor is a little tired but overall a decent hotel in a very good location
