“Location! Location! Location!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

Location, Location, Location! This hotel is in the best location (behind Prophet Mosque and kind of on the front row of hotels - opposite Anwar Al Madinah Mövenpick Hotel) and is especially ideal for women staying as it is very close to the women gates - about 1 minute walk (men's gate very close too - add another 30 seconds!). The hotel is an older hotel and you could see that with the furnishing and decor but it was comfortable to stay in and price was good for what we received and where we were located. Hotel Management did say they would be upgrading the hotel to a more contemporary style. Anyway I had a room with a Haram (Masjid) view which my family especially my mum enjoyed looking out of the window onto the Masjid. Staff were friendly and most speak English. One helped arrange a taxi to Medinah airport at a very reasonable price (compared to how much I paid travelling from Medinah airport to hotel). Hotel is close to many shops and restaurants / takeaways so I feel there is no need to pay extra for breakfast (which is expensive for what you get back and not as good as other hotels - we did try it once whilst staying in the hotel). Overall the stay was positive and based on location / price paid (compared to other hotels within vicinity) I would stay again. Try to visit the Saqifat Bani Saidah (it is a garden park with trees and large pond) which is nice to walk around and very peaceful. The garden park is directly outside the hotel. I would say that it is a better than average hotel - a good hotel to stay in. One of the most important reasons why I booked this hotel was location and the price I got for it (much cheaper then the hotels on the same row). If hotel is upgraded then I would rate it very good / excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a Haram view (your window looking out onto the Masjid). It is a really nice sigh...

Stayed with my family early January 2014 and it was a really pleasant 7 night stay. The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff were really friendly, polite and spoke English. The breakfastwas really good and was acceptable to our Asian / English taste and the rooms were clean and tidy with everything in working order - and to top it all we had a beautiful view of the Prophet's Mosque from the window.

Stayed here after Hajj. It was a busy period and naturally standard of service tended to falter. We had a suite with Masjid al Nabawi view which was priceless, otherwise it wasn't value for money. The beds were ok but the pillows & linens were not what one would expect from a hotel of this category. Same verdict applies for the bathrooms, not very well maintained.
There was no tea/coffee making facility in the suite and not even a hair-dryer in the bathroom. When we asked housekeeping for one, they said hair-dryers are not available in the hotel, not an answer one would expect from a star category hotel !
We were on full board deal and had breakfast/lunch/dinner at the hotel. The spread & standard of food were very basic. During breakfast there was no egg station or pancake/waffle station. Only one bread toaster was provided for all the guests in the restaurant resulting in unbearably long queues. Only a handful of china cups were provided for tea/coffee. Most guests had to do with paper cups ! Again, not what one would expect. Lunch & dinner were also mostly disappointing. I guess the hotel cashes in on the fact that people go to Madinah for a spiritual experience and would not care for service shortfalls. That's true but then it's not fair to charge a premium for an average bed & meal experience.
The best thing about this hotel as I mentioned in the title is the location. It's literally right next door to one of the gates of Masjid al Nabawi. One can listen to the Azan from the room, get ready, perform Wudu & reach the Prophet's mosque in time for the prayer congregation. This is the only fact that can persuade someone to choose this hotel in Madinah, though there are some other hotels (a bit more pricey) in the same neighbourhood which are equally close to the Mosque.

I've stayed for the first time on 16th October 2013. The location is simply near Masjid Nabawi in Haram. Fast check in & check out with English speaking Receptionist. We stayed in a room with 4 beds. TV Channel could be set with more option. Fridge in the room was not working. The room is OK and comfortable enough. Basement Car Park was limited and very narrow especially a challenge for big 4WD cars. We did not try their food as plenty of food outlets nearby the hotel. The room could do some refurbishment for better guest comfort. All in all, it is a GOOD hotel with best location and low budget...

Room Tip: Available family rooms with maximum 4 beds in a room.

Pillows got a lot of mildew spots. Mites everywhere. Informed receptionist and ignored me. The receptionist didn't even write the room number down. If hygiene concerns you, avoid booking this hotel. No wifi and breakfast is expensive. Employees doesn't speak English. You have to call reception many times to get things done.

I have been staying in this hotel since last 4 years. Latest, I was there from 22nd Aug to 24 Aug 2013. Its a 3 star hotel almost opposite to Haram.
It is my 1st choice in Madinah mainly because of their location, friendliness & reasonable rates as other hotels with same location charge too much.
Food quality is average, rooms & baths are clean however need urgent renovation. Parking is very narrow so if you have a car bigger than Corolla, I do not recommend you to park in hotel.

I interacted with some very fine & cooperative people of hotel (Finance & Reservation Deptt) who always provide best possible customer services.

Looking forward to my next visit soon, in same hotel.

Room Tip: Nice view of Haram at Night Time so go for a room with Haram View. See the picture I attached

We stayed 5 nights during Ramadan of this year. Its a 3-star Hotel by international standards, which worked well for us since we were spending most of our time at the Masjid e Nabawi! The location is extremely convenient. Its a few steps from the south east corner of the Mosque BUT its at the opposite corner of the Rawdha which you can get to quickest by walking diagonally inside the Mosque. Otherwise, its a long walk around the Mosque square to get to the Rawdha. Rooms and bathrooms are dated and in need of a major renovation. The staff is friendly although reception staff needs a lot more training! One more thing, if you're booking independent of a tour group, make sure you call the hotel directly to confirm your reservation. I had an odd experience. Hours after checking in very late in the evening, I received an email from kayak/Booking.com that my reservation will be cancelled by 6pm on the date of arrival if I don't update my credit card since the original reservation card didn't go through! Very strange indeed coz in reality I was already in my room and my card had been charged! No one at reception seemed to care to understand or explain. I believe that I would have lost my reservation had the hotel been full, but lucky it was not and things worked out. It could have been a nightmare though! Overall, it was a good choice especially that the price was considerably below the average rate for the hotels along the same street.

Room Tip: Rooms on the north side face the Masjid.
