After reading reviews I was very excited to visit the mall. Shops are great & the food court is excellent.
Unfortunately it is mainly geared up for Saudi’s, so we stuck out like a sore thumb. Everyone speaks Arabic so communicating why you wanted was difficult.
Also, coming from South Africa we seem to get confused for Indian or Pakistani. Saudi’s passed derogatory comments about us, so feeling unwelcome we left after 30 minutes.
I would suggest you stick to the shops & eating places close to your hotel as it’s easier and more humane.
Saudi’s in Medinah are very backwards thinking.

Huge mall with a hyper-market, a large food court with lots of fast-food and a few seated restaurants, and a kids playing area with ice skating. As for shopping I would classify it for midrange to cheap shopping, as there are a limited number of known brands and a lot of local shops, so it is not a shopping destination.

Would recommend this mall if you want a change from the food around the Haram. It will cost around 15 riyals by car. Mall has a variety of shops but I mostly went there in the evening for dinner.

It is one of the two main shopping malls in AlMadinah AlMunawwara.
What can you do there?
1- shopping (Not too many international brands though).
2- have a meal in the food court (i.e. Applebee's, Steakhouse, Shawirma, Yemeni food).
3- drink coffee (i.e.Starbucks).
4- take your kids to play and have fun,

There's also Carrefour which is one of the good stores for grocery shopping and home appliances.

I visited Rashed Mall to give the kids a treat. On the top floor it has indoor rides and activities, near the food courts. The Mall is advertised as open till 1:00 AM, so we went after Isha, however, most shops started closing around 11:00 pm.

Kids had a great time, food court was quite decent too, but did not get much time to see many shops. If you have young ones then the place is definitely worth a visit.
