My friend recommended me this hotel and spoke highly of it. Trustingly I booked the hotel and took the Hong Kong Airport bus, crossed the Huang Gang Checkpoint and arrived at the entrance of Jinan University. Thinking that it was still far away we hailed a taxi which took us not more than five minutes to the entrance of the hotel.

At first look, it was impressive and impressive still was the lobby which were staff with nicely dressed female staff. The efficiency of the staff was below my expectation. I booked and paid for the hotel through a booking agent but the receptionists said there was no booking at all. She asked for my credit card which she entered CNY2000, saying that she was giving me a room at the market rate. I was made to sign on the debit note.....Later she relented and said she would charge me CNY 300 per night, at tourist agency rate.. That sounds better and I quickly used the internet service which she arranged for complimentary use to send a message to the booking agent. On the following day, I met the receptionist again and she said all have been settled, wow, that was good.

The room was as big a room as can be. It was airy and warmly lighted but there is the new control switch which is hard for me to figure out. When the master switch is turned on the whole room is lighted. But to switch on the TV, I have to ensure that three areas are lighted. For those who intent to stay there, the easiest way is to get the housekeeping department to demonstrate.

It was quite late in the night and hunger pangs struck. I walked out of the rear entrance of the hotel and was glad to see two 24-hour restaurant, selling porridge and the usual chinese noodle - wanton mee! The porridge was too watery, but the wanton mee was good. Then they have chee cheong fun - good and cheap!

At the frontage of the hotel, taking a taxi is no problem. Going to Shangxia Ju Lu, Beijing Lu, Yuexia Park etc, no problem at all.

So the location of the hotel beats all other good points. Across the street are many restaurants, one of which sells only lunch and dinner!

If one walks and asks the passers by the location of the MRT line, one could travel to Pang Yu to see the Chang Long Circus and other theme parks.

One side of the hotel is undergoing renovations and hopefully when it is ready the management will renovate and give a facelift to the main building....

The hotel was GOOD ,Clean and also safe.
The problem is Language. No one knows a single word in English. To make them understand what u want u need more energy and patience.
The health center there is too costly and they mostly try make ur bill high be careful.
They just deactivate ur room card once ur reservation expires.Even if u go to reception they dont give u any proper explanation u will find ur room is expired and i cant open u r door only when i go to the 13th floor.Even though we have given our credit card for guarantee i have to come down settle ur bill and then get in to ur room again.
They charge money for all.Even they dont offer water bottles. many hotel who charge 180 RMB per night also offer water bottles but these people charge almost 30 rmb per bottle tooooo costly. If u want to move out they dont even get u a taxi u have too do all by urself
The travel desk is not much good. They charge u more for card they as 5 % surcharge absolute cheating.
The hotel foriegn exchange is very very poor. I got a fake 100RMb note in the hotel counter which i noticed only after paying it to the taxi wala.
Exchange money only with the bank in the hotel premisis.
Not that much cheap.
can get many hotels better than this for 380 rmb.
a normal hotel in big size not 4****
the business centre is very poor they delivered me courier after 2 days only.
they did not even handover my fax and missed it somewhere
