this hotel has very indecent crowd.most of people staying here are so loud and ill-mannered. Most of the Indian men keeping staring and behave like visual rapists. The sounds from neighboring rooms can be clearly heard and it gets very disturbing.the food menu has nothing to offer especially for vegetarians.the lighting in the room is less and the internet connection is also very slow.

The services are speachless. I was very happy for what i have got during the short stay of 5 days. Most important point is around 3 inidan restaurants are there serving authentic very indian to be specific Maharashtrian, Gujrati and Punjabi food. Supermarket is at a very wakable distance, exchanging currency is also very near and are good peoples around. Overall a very good experiance.

Room Tip: Great place to live if you are for exebitions

Dong Yue Hotel has a good location with more than 5 Indian restaurants within walking distance. I could also find one near by that had only veg kitchen with home style cooking - Sharma ji. All of the restaurants deliver to hotel in convenient disposable utensils. You could also get travel agents, car hires, cargo forwarders and many agents for business in the vicinity.

Many popular markets and tourist spots are also minutes away through taxi.

The rooms are okay. I would suggest to choose deluxe rooms. Standard rooms appear dated. The reception staff is efficient. They provided services like wi-fi, laundry, fax which were reasonable. I never ate at the hotel except ordering soft drinks.

I find this Hotel very comfortable to stay in. Check in/out is very efficient. Reception staff is very helpful and communicates very well in English, much better than some of the better hotels in China. Rooms are neat, reasonably well maintained, size is adequate. Bathrooms are clean and the shower area is behind a partition. Room service is prompt and efficient.

The hotel is quite popular with Indians and visitors from Nepal, the Middle-East, Africa. At least 3 Indian/Nepalese restaurants are within a minute-walking distance. And you could order on phone and have food delivered in your room at the hotel packed in convenient, ready to eat packets/containers especially if you were very tired to go wait at the restaurant. There are a lot of stores nearby if you wanted to pick up snacks or drinks.

One free afternoon, we strolled around the area and found ourselves having reached Beijing Lu after walking for about 30 minutes. By taxi, Beijing Lu is about 20 RMB away and Teem Plaza about 30 Yuan. The Guangzhou East Station would cost approx 23 RMB and the Pazhou Complex (Canton Fair) about 60 RMB. In all, quite convenient in terms of distances to and fro. For those inclined to music and dance in the evening, there are a few clubs nearby and a trip by taxi to Garden Hotel area will be approx. 20 RMB. Taxis, both metered as well as private daily hire are easily available as you step out of the Hotel.

At normal times we could get a daily tariff of 180 RMB, though during the Canton Fair 800 RMB was quoted but I stayed in a different Hotel.

Room Tip: Always had rooms at the back with a view of apartment buildings. Different rooms I stayed in during 3 visits are almost exactly the same.

The room is not bad but is pretty dated for the amount they charge which was about 261 RMB for a deluxe bed room. The floor carpet and chairs are a bit old.The bed is fine.AC did not function to its proper cooling and we complained thrice.Maintenance people came but nothing much changes. We will defintely try for another hotel if there is a better option next time.
Green n Black Tea is free.Coffee is charged at 5 RMB.Laundry is pretty expensive.

Bathrooms are ok.Not bad though.

Lot od Indians stay in this hotel and Indian restaurants are nearby which charge about 50 RMB for buffet.

The location is good close to all the markets .People at reception were a little off especially in morning hours.
