“Very nice place”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

The hotel has a very nice location and combines a lot of what a traveller might need, from restaurants to shopping mall. You walk out the door to find the metro station. Other than going to some Chinese shops, you don't need to go out of the hotel

I stayed in this hotel during Canton Fair, and it was a very decent hotel. The location is very good, you can travel every part of the city easily from there, also shuttle service was provided to the fair as well. The hotel room was very clean, and staff were very attentive. As I heard from many other foreigners, most of other hotels' staff didn't speak much English, but I never had a problem with communication. The breakfast was rich, and the hotel facilities such as massage, swimming pool, shopping mall next to the hotel, etc. were quite good. Also there was a Turkish restaurant very close to the hotel, which was very convenient for us when we did not feel like trying something new. The rooms were big enough, and very clean. However, the minibar was too exensive, a bottle of water was around 5€ as far as I remember.

It's a decent hotel if you want to be near a metro station. The hotel is clean and a luxury shopping center is just next door. Food options in the area are fairly limited and the shops all tend to close early (about 9 - 10pm). There is a 7-Eleven right by the metro station should you get hunger pangs in the middle of the night.

They have separate rooms for people booking through discount sites like Agoda. I had the worst experience ever. I would not recommend it to anyone. I have been living here for the past one week and been complaining about old and outdated room since day one but no one seems to care. The water temperature keeps oscillating without altering anything. I have complained to Agoda and the manager, nothing got done but on I losing my temper I was told that my room can be changed to a lower floor which does not have this problem. The room on the lower floor was even smaller and older therefore I refused. They say that hot water cant 'climb' on the higher floors... Is this a joke? The internet is also way below par. Its impossible to stream anything, upon complaining to the manager he agreed that they had ordinary internet and he could not do anything about it. If I want to stream a website I should go to the Starbucks across the street. The window does not open, air-conditioning is not upto mark .... I can go on and on.... in short facilities are 5 star but rooms not more than 2 star

Room Tip: Do not choose this hotel. If you have to please avoid Agoda

Extremely well located - Metro and buses just outside, lots of restaurants, fast food, convenience stores and pubs around make it an extremely convenient place to stay in. People at the hotel speak english and they have a very nice gym and swimming pool. The rooms are a bit old and my bathroom had a problem - the water temperature was going from hot to warm to cold and vice versa all the time, without my touching the mixer lever - complaints with housekeeping and reception did not help. Everything else was extremely nice. Additional attraction - lots of good cars parked at the hotel everyday - I saw a Bentley, a Chevy Camaro, a Ferrari, few Porsches and jaguars and lots more.

Room Tip: Look for rooms that have renovated bathrooms.

stayed for 5 days at US$100 per night. Breakfast, room, and ambience could have been all better. As a 5 star, I was expecting something like Garden Hotel, which is just across the hotel (also 5 star). But for the price and location, cannot complain. English is spoken at the reception lobby. Staff were all pleasant. Waiter at the Italian restaurant at the 30th floor seems to disappear after serving dinner. Subway is just a stroll away right beside the main vehicle entrance. Shopping malls and restaurants abound the surrounding area. And, even at 2 in the morning, when I requested extra slippers and pillows, the doorbell rang 3 minutes later with my requested items.

The first time I entered the hotel lobby I was pleasantly surprised by a well spoken English reception. The gym was a delight and the people were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and jacuzzi is cleaned every day. Breakfast was a feast. The best bread ever!!!. Rooms are clean and bedding changed every morning. Would really go back again.
