The hotel is so well positioned that commuting for business is simple. the staff are cheerful and help as much as possible with all our needs. breakfast is excellent but the restaurant staff need a little more training. the landmark club is so efficient. its like having our own office in the hotel

Room Tip: river view rooms high floor have a magic view

Stay in this hotel for 6 nights. Overall I enjoy my stay at this hotel. Only 5 mins walk to the Metro. 15 mins walk to beijing road, the famous shopping street in guang zhou. Near from this hotel there is mall that have a 24 hours mcdonald. From airport you can take airport express shuttle no 5 and stop at haizhu plaza, which is in front of this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for room on 20th floor, all the elevetor service to this floor

I stayed here for 1 night with a group of friends. The room was average and reasonably comfortable although the bathroom was quite small. The view from the room was very good of the river and Canton Tower. The view from the even higher room where we had breakfast was even better. The air con was OK in the room but not so good in the public areas. It was busy outside in the street an was the only place china where we were accosted for money.

The breakfast was average, a mix of Chinese and western.

I did have an incident during my stay. I was sharing my room with a friend and had shut (not locked) the bathroom door while I was having my morning wash. The door handle looked crooked but when I had finished I found I was shut in the bathroom and unable to get out. There was a phone in the bathroom so I rang reception and the answered immediately in English. To cut a long story short various staff came to rescue me and then they started knocking the handle out of the door while I climbed in the bath out of the firing line! After 40 minutes and the involvement of 6 staff members the door was kicked in with brute force and I was free. Luckily I had allowed plenty of time and was not late for my bus. Although it took a while to get me up, they dealt with the problem as quickly as possible and summoned additional help immediately. They were concerned that I was OK.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the river and Canton Tower

Stayed July 2013. Staff happy to welcome me. Several spoke english well. Had a split visit. First visit, had 33rd floor. Fantastic views, especially at night, towards Goungzhou bridge and Canton Tower. Other time had view from 36 floor in executive suite. Stunning.suite. Clean bathroom, changed towels in the morning and at night while I was at dinner. Turn down service without paying. Washing returned within 10hrs.

Breakfast was varied for most tastes. (Had to laugh that the tomatoes were situated with the other fruit and am used to them being a vegetable). They were not shy in talking to me as I was a solo traveller.

Train station very close as were the ferries for trips on the river. Sharmain Island in walking distance as was a very large shoe market. Taxis were quite inexpensive.

Had a problem getting a ticket on country train. The staff (especially Eva) went out of her way to organise someone to take me to get the tickets. Due to this had to stay an extra night and they put me up at a discount priced good room as well as courtesy bus to train station the next morning. The staff at the coffee shop remembered after 1 visit what coffee I wanted and were also very happy to chat and learn about Aussie.

One of the best experiences I have ever had at an international hotel (especially that I mainly travel by myself.).

Room Tip: Choose a high floor for the views. Bring your own coffee......

We just stayed one night here on our China Tour, the main reason was to visit the nearby Canton Tower. The hotel is located close to the river and there are some pretty walkways along the side of the river for those that like to exercise and take in the views.

The bedroom was nothing exceptional, two twin beds, chair, a modest bathroom, tea / coffee making facilities. Our 27th floor room provided some nice views over the city, although there is a fair bit of engineering works taking place and the area south of the hotel resembles one big building site. There is a McDonalds restaurant 5 minutes walk across from the hotel, which is where we ate late at night, but note that the road outside the hotel is busy, being a bus and taxi through-route..

Breakfast was served on the top (39th) floor and the panoramic views of the city and the Canton Tower were spectacular, although the food was just average. Overall not bad but nothing exceptional other than the breakfast views.

got a Exe suite at offer price S$ 130(w/o Breakfast). Got a 23 rd flr room which is refurbished.

Room-Exe suite come with a bed rm and a sitting rm, flat screen TV at both rm. Room is clean and modern after refurbished. I got a very good view from both rooms window, of the Pearl river, esp nice at night. No bath tub, only standing shower. Water will leak out thru the glass door, making the restroom floor wet when showering. I wonder why the hotel has miss this.

Bed and pillow is too soft for us. Room come with Safe, kettle.

Service- basic ok, few staffs got sour face when you ask too much question. Concierge are helpful and polite, same goes to the waitress at the lobby café. Can't say the same for the staff on the 39th flr restaurant. Room service ladies impress me most with their fast delivery of phone charger and sugar, upon request. Overall don't feel much hospitality.

Location- one of the plus of this hotel is location.
-From airport, take no.5 bus, drop at Haizhu sq. 10mins walk to hotel.
-10mins walk to Beijing walking street.
-2mins walk to Pearl river, also Hong yi seafood restn.
-5mins walk to various wholesale malls.
-30mins Taxi to Mt. Baiyun costing abt 24yuan
-5mins walk to Metro line.

Restaurant at 39 floor is expensive, and the staff just walk off, when I ask to look at the menu for tomorrow breakfast.

Overall, I am happy with the exe suite, and my stay, mainly because of the convenient location.
Try to get a refurbished room if possible.

Room Tip: Ask for refurbished room, and river facing if u like views.

A great hotel and well located in case you need quick access to one link plaza.
The service and staff at the hotel were friendly, impeccable and most helpful. Also at our floor we had a lady stationed near the door at all times which just made us feel very safe since we were 2 ladies travelling alone.
One link plaza was a 5 minute walk, and there were plenty of restaurants and nightclubs nearby.
