“A taste of Bavaria in Guangzhou”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

The Paulaner Brauhaus Guangzhou is located in an upscale shopping mall in the TianHe District of Guangzhou. It has easy access to the GZ Metro Line #3 and most taxi drivers are quite familiar with the TaiKooHui development.

The restaurant is located on the third level (above ground) and is complete with an out-side Bier Garten for those wonderful sunny days and cool fresh brewed bier. The executive chef is a German-born wizzard of culinary arts. And the Brau Meister is amongh the best of the best in the Paulaner Family.

Through out the year standard biers inclue Dunkel, Weiss and Lager. However coming at Oktoberfest the Brau Meister cooks up some fantastic Fest Bier -- in the Lenten Period of Winter we see Salvator special bier and in May we have Maifest Bier. As one can tell this is a Bier Haven as all of the brews are made on-site in the Paulaner Brauhaus.

Most nights feature a local band playing a mixture of Wester Rock and Chinese Contemporary Music. However, there are times when the restaurant treats us all to Fest Bands straight out of the Tyrole.

This is a family friendly restaurant in the true Bavarian Tradition!

“Home away from home”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

A little bit hidden when you don't know the spot, that's why it's not overloaded. On Taikoo Hui sopping mall on the roof top, simply a nice spot. Huge outdoor area open till late (all other restaurants around closed early) as a "Beer garden", Great atmosphere, German beers, freshly brewed (That's why it's called "Bräuhaus"), just nice! and as well more reasonable then in Shanghai or Bejing! Original German food as well, try the pork knuckle- so crispy!

“So cool!A piece of Europe in guangzhou”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

In the third floor of taikoo building, an open space garden takes place front of few restaurants; one of them took my attention by his German name” Paulaner brauhaus”, I discovered the hugest restaurant in Guangzhou I ever saw and it is not all! Inside, the decoration was so class, so intime, with the old fashion containers of bier. I liked the food (thanks’ for the original Alsatian bred) and enjoyed the German real bier taste, The kindness of the staff which never lose their smile mae me feel so comfortable. Really it is a gift for expat like me such a restaurant that make me feel at least for few hours in my homeland!

Reviewed 27 April 2014

So, I living more than 2 years in GZ. I had some visits in Paulaner and expect the prices (compared to Shanghai or other CN Cities Paulaner, is a little higher in GZ),but it is not compareable to other cities. It is underground level from quality and service on a high end price.
3 times in a row is too much for me. bad beef, medium ordered got driest well done of my life. got changed it was not warm anymore.....

“Freshly Brewed Paulaner ”
Reviewed 26 April 2014 via mobile

You can't find a better beer place in GZ than at Paulaner. The beer is just fantastic and the food is not bad either. This is a definite 5 stars!
