The entrance is away from the main road which helps so that people do not use the lobby a meeting point. The lobby is opulent and with a high ceiling, giving it a grand look. Check in was easy as the English speaking were efficient. They issued us a room on the 39th floor but the view was just the street scene.
Our room was large with a mini foyer with the bathroom away from the main room. This was good as I could sleep on when my husband washed up. The beds were comfortable and spacious. However, the room we had, had a stained headroom so that was a downer.
The bathroom had both shower (strong jet of water from the handheld shower head and the overhead rain shower). There was even a small TV & a head rest for us to relax in the bath tub.
The hotel has a good location, near their subway and surrounded by computer warehouses wholesalers. There are interesting side lanes with lots of local flavors. But beware of the heavily laden trolleys zipping around. Trolleys are rented out to help buyers transport their purchases.
Nearby the hotel are some shopping malls with the big & some medium brands. The Conceirge is helpful in giving directions and getting taxis. However my enjoyment of the hotel was marred when one of the staff at the Conceirge charged me too much for the train tickets he offered to purchase for me. Wonder whether it was a real mistake. Just be careful because of the difference rates between the HK dollars and Chinese Yuans... Sometimes prices are quoted in both currencies as there are many visitors from Hong Kong.
