“Great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2013

Room are clean. Food is good. Ambiance is relaxed. Kids had a great time in the electronic game / movie room. Staff acts as translator over the phone because we had hard time explaining to a unilingual Chinese where we wanted to go. Manager makes sure we had a great experience during our stay.

Stayed here for 3 nights , spacious twin room with comfy big beds and sheets. Easy to find from train / bus station, we put their picture instructions on our I phone photos . We had been travelling for a while and just took a break for a few days lazing in the communal room playing pool , watching movies, drinking beer and gin and tonics and eating their good food . Staff friendly , helpful , good English . We didn't do a lot of sightseeing as we were going on to stay in neighbouring yangshuo - which I highly recommend

This is a must stay in Guilin!

Service is great. I had trouble with DHL and some mail, and they called several times and emailed them so often I felt bad! They were always smiling and being extremely nice. They helped us out with everything.

Rooms are good. Solid AC, private bathrooms and sheets provided, locker as well.

The price per night is so cheap taking into account what you get back.

Food is alright, price is OK. The ice cream is quite expensive but amazing!

The "make your dumplings" on monday is so much fun! You get to eat them afterwards and for free!

The people you meet are so nice :) and from everywhere around

Located 10 minutes away from the train station by foot.

Overall, one of our best stays!

We had a private double and no complaints with the room. It was basic, but all the amenities worked and it was secure.

The staff were friendly and helpful, there was a nice reading room, free pool table and the internet speed was good. The food wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad either. It's location is okay, although it's a bit of a walk to the other end of town where you will find the main restaurants and the night market.

I'd stay here again.

Favorite hostel of all time! Super friendly, helpful (and English speaking) staff. They remembered my name from the first day. The atmosphere is very comfortable. Full bar with good prices. We all got free t-shirts for buying 12 beers. Great service! Delicious home made dumplings. Friday night BBQ was fantastic. The coffee and breakfast are delicious and reasonably priced; it makes it easy to just get up and go. You can order your breakfast the night before, if you have an early tour booked. The hiking tour to the Longji Rice Terraces was one of a kind. We had our own experiences and avoided the tourist traps. The bike rental worked out great. Wada Hostel was a wonderful place to stay; it was difficult to leave.

We arrived very late at night (2am) and they received us with a big big smile. The girls in reception and in the bar are superhelpful, ask them anything you need and they will always help you. Also they don't try to sell you any tours and genuinely guide you through their info and maps. We did a couple of tours and they were really good.
The bed was a bit hard, that would be my only negative point!
Otherwise, big bedroom with air-con, great common areas, pool table, excellent food, safe, clean...
So far, my favourite place in China! We said bye to the girls with a big hug.

Walking distance to local market. Opposite the hostel, there are some street food stalls. Meals are not a problem when walk out from the hostel. The staffs can speak very good English and friendly too.
