We went to Yu Hill Park as part of the Guilin tour group and it was our first sightseeing stop. Having to pay for the entrance fee into the park, it was certainly well maintained, with beautiful gardens, restored Emperor Yu Temple and Five Blessings Tower plus ancient wall carvings. According to the Tour Guide, the temple and tower is one the earliest temple of Guilin under the Qin Dynasty. On top of this, you will find ancient carvings in Yu Hill including a beautiful carving of the Goddess of Mercy which is over 1000 years old, and a cave which runs from north to south, with many statues inside the cave and it has a nice breeze blowing in. It is worth while the visit and the entrance fee include a commentary by the local Yu Hill Park Guide which tells you in detail the history of Yu Hill.
