Owner description: Resembling an elephant drinking water from the Li River with its long trunk, this hill towers more than 55 meters above the water.

other than the so called hill, everything else here is enjoyable.
the park, the walks, the sign boards for guilin arts and crafts and specially the Chinese wine company showroom are really good.

Long long ago, There was a elephant came to the land from sky ,one day, when she arrived to Guilin, she found the landscape is so beautiful but the local people are very poor that she decided to stay in this place and help the local people, when the jade Emperor knows the elephant's decision ,the jade emperor ask her go back to the heaven, but the elephant Refused, and the jade emperor was so Angry that he send his troop to kill the elephant, and the elephant returned to a stone hill to stay in Guilin forever ,now on the top of hill, there is a Pagoda looks like the handle of the sword .

An excellent view is the reward for the long, steep and fairly narrow climb to the top of Elephant Trunk Hill. Quite hazy the day we were there but still a good view all the same.

A place for a good photo opportunity. Be prepared for lots of tourists. Plenty of vendors. We did not spend a lot of time here.

This hill with a hole which may look like an elephant is located on the edge of the river. The park around it is small but good for walks around pretty scenery. It has an entrance fee which is not really worth paying and is free after 6 p.m. The hill can be viewed from another spot free of charge. Some people even climb the hill.
Small concerts are held in the grounds during festivals etc. It is also famous for ground red chilly paste which is widely sold in the park.
