This looks like an official Paulaner, as it has a big sign on the outside indicating that it is, but it's not mentioned on Paulaner's website, so I'm not entirely sure. Compared to the Paulaner Brauhaus in Shanghai I have my doubts. This place was dreadful. It looks somewhat appealing from the outside and is right on the main pedestrian tourist street of Guilin. The service was okay and they had obviously been trained how to pour a beer properly. However, that's where the positives end. You'd expect German food at a "German beer hall" but there was nothing like that on the menu. The food was gross American bar food, and of poor quality. The tableclothes had cigarette holes and we sat outside since the inside was smokey and loud with obnoxious pop music. The beer selection looked intriguing but the first few things I asked for were "not available" even though they were listed in the menu. (Despite the name "brauhaus" they do not brew their own beer here. The location in Shanghai is bigger, nicer, cleaner, serves German food and brews their own beer. Superior in every way). The prices are also very expensive considering this is China - you pay European/American prices here. Stay away.
