We contacted Richard at Insider's Xi'an about making the best use of our 24 hours in Xi'an. He arranged for Ada to pick us up at the airport and visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda on the way to the hotel (Sofitel) and then visit the Terracotta Warriors the next morning before dropping us back at the airport after lunch. (The town wall was closed while we were there due to protest activity the week before.) Everything went seamlessly! Ada is young and enthusiastic and shared lots of history and stories with us. Xi'an is a polluted, industrial city with hundreds of active cranes outside the city walls. I'm sure there is more to see here, but 24 hours was enough for us. It was worth it to see the Terracotta Warriors and we enjoyed our day with Ada.
